In most cases, the manager acts as the artist’s representative and can make decisions on their behalf. Essentially, they are the other side of the artist who doesn’t create or perform music.

2. Business Manager
Focused on the financial side of your career, they manage your income, budget, and expenses. In some cases, they may also double as an accountant.

3. Media/Publicist/PR
This person manages your public image, secures interviews and media coverage, and handles crisis communications to protect your reputation.

4. Entertainment Lawyer
Your lawyer ensures your interests are protected by reviewing contracts, negotiating terms, and ensuring you’re not exploited in deals or agreements.

5. Accountant

What happened to Tekno is SAD 🥲💔

This is the story of a Nigerian artist who used to dine with superstars like Drake but lost everything after having it all in just a few years!

About 12 years ago, Tekno became a professional music artist, and after dropping his song “Holiday” featuring Davido, it became an instant hit across the continent!

Tekno went on to release five straight hit songs, including "Pana," "My Woman," and many others, which made him a global star in just a few years.

He was getting booked for shows and performances left and right. He had everything he ever wanted—from cars to money and fame.

One day, the worst happened: Tekno woke up one morning and realized he had lost his voice. He couldn’t sing anymore and had to cancel all his shows. Since then, he started moving from one doctor to another for a solution, but nothing was working.

He underwent some operations in Nigeria, and things improved temporarily, but a few months later, he was diagnosed with GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux D!sease). This totally took him away from the music industry for years.

He began traveling from one country to another for solutions and found himself spending all the money he had made from his music. He went broke and had no money left so, he sold some of the songs he had written to his friends, including Davido, and used the money to travel to London for surgery.

The surgery was successful, but he needed to stay away from music for another year to recover.

When he finally recovered, he no longer had his place in the music industry.

He started back from zero, and today he is doing better, though nobody really listens to his music like they did before.

The way his career turned out was really SAD 💔
