POH focuses on educational development programs, healthcare improvement initiatives, support for an improved life for aged people, empowerment and capacity building programs for youths and women. Most people see a chest freezer and a washing machine as appliances. In Ilorin yesterday, it was a business expansion.
True empowerment isn't about giving handouts, it's about backing people who are already putting in the work.
Yesterday, Pyramid of Hearts Ilorin Chapter executed her 2026 Annual Charity outreach, September 26th 2026, in line with our theme for the year.
We didn't distribute generic aid. We delivered targeted assets to two hardworking women:
Falade Josephine: Already selling pure water and soft drinks on the street. We provided a brand new chest freezer with 10 packs of bottled water so she can capture peak demand during the upcoming dry season and scale her daily revenue.
Adelaye Mary: A dedicated civil servant launching a local laundry business. We equipped her with a washing machine to build a secondary income stream for her family.
Why this outreach? Because our goal isn't to give charity for a moment, it's to hand someone a tool that keeps generating for them long after we've left. That's the difference between aid and investment.
Because when you empower an entrepreneur at the grassroots level, the return on investment isn't just financial, it's a family fed, a community served, and a life transformed.
