So today... Puff puff
Ingredients
4 cups flour
2 ½ cups water
1 teaspoon nutmeg
4 teaspoons yeast
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar + 2 teaspoons sugar for proofing the yeast
Enough oil for deep frying
Method:
Mix half a cup of warm water, 2 teaspoons of sugar, and the yeast in a bowl. Cover and set aside until the yeast becomes bubbly, about 5-6 minutes.
In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, salt, and nutmeg.
Pour the proofed yeast and the remaining cup of water into the dry ingredients and mix until the batter is lump-free or smooth.
Cover the dough and allow it to rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour. You will perceive a sweet smell.
Preheat the oil in a pan deep and wide enough to accommodate the puff puff balls. Scoop a little bit of dough and drop the batter by spoonfuls into the oil.
Fry both sides until golden brown. If you find it hard to turn the puff puff while frying, you can press down the balls a little bit with your frying spoon before turning them.
Remove from heat and drain on a paper towel.
Enjoy your puff puff!

Time without number, I always say... If you see someone you can learn from or someone whose results you admire, don't be too proud to appreciate them, or to ask for help, and also invest in what they do.
For example, if this person has a class coming up, you can pay to attend instead of asking for free recipes when you can afford it.
Nobody is an island unto themselves; funny enough, that person also started small and learned from others. So, don't be too proud to learn from and appreciate someone who is doing something better than you.
The reason some people do not grow is simple "pride"
Drop the pride and appreciate other, because people are also going to appreciate and want to learn from you when you get it

Do you know common mistakes that can cause a lot of loss in the baking or pastry business?
A lot of people have given up on making puff puff, but the truth is that well-prepared puff puff can be very profitable.
So, I will list out common mistakes that lead to bad puff puff days:
📍 Don't add too much water: When you add too much water to your puff puff, it becomes watery and won't produce the round balls you want. Add water bit by bit. Don't wait until a voice says, "My daughter or son, stop."
📍 Don't add too much sugar: You might think that adding more sugar will make it sweeter. Well, yes, but it won't be edible or enjoyable. When puff puff is too sweet, it becomes boring to eat.
📍 Too much yeast: When you ask people why they added too much yeast, you'll hear, "I want it to rise." No. 🌚
Too much yeast will make your puff puff lose its taste and freshness. The yeast will make it ferment faster, and it will lose its flavor.
📍 Using little oil to fry: Puff puff needs to be fried in deep oil. If you fry with little oil, the puff puff will be soaked in oil.
📍Low/High amount of heat while frying: Too much heat will burn your puff puff. Similarly, when the heat is too low, it will soak up oil. Keep the heat on medium, and your puff puff will come out fine.
If you have any questions, I will be willing to answer. 🥰

Everyone loves cake, especially when the smell catches people's attention! 😂
One day, a customer ordered a round cake for a special goodbye party for a friend and quickly sent the money to my account. When I got home, I started making and baking the cake. But the tasty smell made my older brother cut a piece without me knowing. 😂😂😂
When I found out some slices were missing, instead of getting mad, I first had a good laugh and grabbed some food. 😂
Then, I had a great idea to change the cake into a pretty heart shape. I added more decorations to make it look more loving. Even though I worked all night and couldn't take a picture of the cake. 😂 The next day, when my customer saw it, they said the love in the design really showed their feelings for the person leaving and loved the creative design.
The lessons I learned from this are:
📍 The power of creativity in dealing with surprises.
📍 Mistakes can lead to new ideas and creativity.
📍 Remember to pray, laugh, and eat first before thinking of solutions.
NB: Picture not mine, but similar to what I did
