Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 has taken a bold step by shutting down more than 100 NGOs, sending a powerful message about the kind of Africa it wants to build. 🇧🇫✊🏾

For decades, Africa has been told that development must come through foreign organizations, foreign money, foreign expertise, and foreign institutions.

But the question is:

How long can a continent become truly independent while depending on others to solve its problems? 🤔🌍

Burkina Faso is saying, "We must begin to build our own capacity, strengthen our own institutions, develop our own solutions, and take responsibility for our own future."

This does not mean humanitarian needs should be ignored. People affected by insecurity and poverty still need support. But Africa must also ask itself whether aid should remain a permanent foundation—or become a bridge toward genuine self-reliance. ✊🏾

Because true independence is not only about raising a flag.

It is about having the courage to say:

We can build.
We can produce.
We can educate.
We can feed ourselves.
We can protect ourselves.
We can solve our own problems. 🦅🌍🔥

Burkina Faso's decision has opened a much bigger conversation—one that every African country must eventually face.

Do we want an Africa that permanently waits for solutions from outside, or an Africa confident enough to create its own?

The awakening is not only happening in Burkina Faso.

Africa is beginning to question everything. 🌍🔥✊🏾⚽

SHOULDERS ACTIVATED! 😂
David Roy Nyengue said Eto’o mode ON after scoring yesterday 😭😂
Bro didn’t just celebrate the goal… he activated the shoulders 😂
For a moment, you’d think Samuel Eto’o personally gave him the celebration tutorial before the match. 🤣
Cameroon’s 3–1 victory over Comoros🥰🥰

🚨 This David Nyengue guy na real man wey like violence.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣..

But on a serious note, even if this young team plays well, some people will never appreciate. What did we achieve with the other teams comprised of big names after Afcon 2021? Massa una leave talk.

No matter what, this young team somehow grind to get the points, that's a good sign. A new era is here and it has come to stay!!

Just imagine if this team lost or even draw today?? Those criticizers would have sang a different song.

Give them their flowers mhen, in as much as there still work to do, they haven't disappointed. ⚽⚽

Beatrice Murugi is a former Kenyan professional marathon runner and athlete whose heartbreaking transition from elite international sports to abject poverty has recently sparked widespread concern and calls for government intervention in Kenya.

Originally discovered by a village elder in Nyahururu, Murugi moved to Japan in 2009. She completed her high school education there and officially turned professional in 2012. During her peak athletic career, her winnings allowed her to completely transform her family's standard of living. She bought land in Nyahururu, constructed a home for her mother, and entirely funded her siblings' education

Her financial fortunes shifted drastically due to a series of compounding personal and financial tragedies.

Seeking an alternative income stream, Murugi invested a major portion of her career earnings into a commercial lorry. The vehicle was involved in a fatal road accident near Delmonte. Because the vehicle's insurance had expired—a lapse her driver failed to communicate—she received zero compensation and was legally forced to shoulder the heavy medical and liability expenses for the injured victims.

In 2021, Murugi developed a severe, chronic stomach-bloating condition. The illness remains unresolved despite medication and has heavily restricted her physical capacity to train or do heavy manual labor.
When she fell seriously ill, her husband reportedly evicted her and their child from their home into a rental, leaving her to face her medical and financial struggles entirely alone.

Today, Murugi lives in a tiny KSh 1,000-a-month rental room in Kerugoya, where she picks tea and takes on grueling casual manual labor jobs just to provide food for her 10-year-old child. Her plight has triggered heavy public outcry on social media, with sports 🙏🙏🙏

🇷🇺🇳🇪 Niger has officially accused the "French Macron regime" of involvement in the failed coup attempt that took place last week in the capital, Niamey.

🚨 In an official statement, it was stated that members of the Special Reconnaissance Battalion, part of the Special Operations Command, carried out the attack as part of a "vast conspiracy" led by France, aimed at undermining Niger's sovereignty and control over its natural resources.

🚨 The rebels attacked the presidential palace, Base 101, and the state television station on August 28th and 29th, but were repelled by loyal forces, including the Presidential Guard, with the support of the Russian African Corps👟👟👟

The US is introducing new bipartisan legislation to address the growing security crisis in the Sahel, focusing on Mali amid increased Russian influence.

The proposed bill requires a comprehensive strategy to counter al-Qaeda and affiliated groups, while also assessing threats in Niger and Burkina Faso.

A key aspect is investigating how terrorists finance activities through Mali's gold industry and illicit trade, mapping financial networks and transit routes.

The legislation also mandates assessment of Russia's expanding military role in the Sahel, aiming to strengthen US support for regional partners and review current diplomatic tools🎒🎒🎒
