African ClimateChange Movement
We aim to be the largest climate change movement in Africa created to increase the awareness of people across Africa on Climate Change.
A few weeks ago, we told you about Green for life Rwanda Rwanda and the small grant they received to support their nursery project in Nyanza Sector.
Now, we get to show you what happened next.
They got to work.
They purchased guava and tree tomato seeds, got two watering cans, and secured support to care for the nursery for two months.
But what made us especially happy wasn’t just that the project was implemented. It was how they documented it.
Green for Life Rwanda sent us their narrative update, stamped invoices, a signed work contract, and photographs from the field. They accounted for every franc they received.
The total grant was 147,500 RWF — and 147,500 RWF was accounted for.
This is the kind of story we want to tell through the ACCM platform.
Because climate action isn’t only about raising money or announcing grants. It’s also about showing what happens after the money arrives.
Who is doing the work?
What was purchased?
What is happening on the ground?
And what impact will it create?
A big thank you to the Global Youth Coalition for helping us review selection of the project, the Walker Foundation for making the funding possible, and especially Green for Life Rwanda for taking the responsibility seriously and showing us the work.
This is accountability in action.
And we’ll keep following the story as those seedlings grow.
🌊 Final Call for Ocean-Related Projects in Africa! 🌍
We’re making our final call for ocean-related projects across Africa.
If your organisation is working on a small-scale project that has the potential to create meaningful impact in your community, we want to hear from you! 💙
Register your organisation and project and let us learn about the incredible work you’re doing.
We can’t wait to hear from you and support more grassroots solutions for our oceans. 🌊🌱
I’m also looking forward to receiving updates from Green for Life Rwanda. 🇷🇼
We provided them with a $100 grant, and implementation is currently underway as we speak. We’re excited to see the progress and hear more about the impact this project is creating. Stay tuned for their updates!
The first Walker Grant has landed — and it is going to Rwanda.
Green for Life Rwanda works with schools and farming families in Gisagara District to plant trees, grow food, and build communities that are ready for climate change.
We selected them. We verified them. We found two independent referee organisations on the ground in Rwanda to hold everyone accountable. And next week — the grant goes out.
$100. Fruit tree seeds. A nursery worker. Watering cans. Seedlings that will grow into trees that will feed and shade the communities that planted them.
This is what ACCM was built for. Real organisations, Real projects and Real impact you can follow from start to finish.
Next update the money is sent. After that we show the results.
Watch this space.
