Child Education and Community Development Initiative - CECDI

Good Nutrition is a very important aspect for a healthy life.. and being healthy is being wealthy.. For this reason some vulnerable households were supported with some food stuff to improve the nutritional status of their household... This was done with the support of IHV Nigeria

CECDI in collaboration with IHVN took part in the 16 DAYS ACTIVISM program .. some major highlights of the activities include
Road walk with the 1st lady of Nasarawa State
Community sensitization on GBV . In-school sensitization on SGBV where the students were sensitized on Water Sanitation and hygiene practice as well as preventative/safety measures
Sanitary pads were also distributed to students

Recap of our September Psychosocial activity
Better parenting sessions on parent-child communication was held in Keffi and Karu LGAs.
Participants were supported with a food package from the food emergency relief program.

The FY24 close out ceremony of the DREAMS-LIKE activity was a huge success....
The DREAMS-LIKE program aims at empowering the girl child to be agents of positive change in their communities and be confident and fearless leaders.
The activity showcased lots of talents from the participants ranging from Drama, choreography, pageantry, etc
The program was supported by our funding partners IHVNigeria

CECDI commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child with the theme "Gils' Vision for the future" with support from our funding partners IHVNigeria.

As part of CECDI's value in the development sector, Capacity Building is and will always be a continuous process hence the three days Case Management training organized for caseworkers supported by one of our funding partners IHVNigeria to build the capacity of Community Case workers for effective service delivery.

- Support for common entrance, BECE and NECO registration for most vulnerable households.
- CECDI also carried out School visit to ensure our beneficiaries are doing well in school and to sensitize teachers on the need to create a conducive learning environment for children

August Recap of our Child Protection Activities;
- Child Protection Committee (COC) Cpc meetings held at Angwan wake KEFFI LGA, Kuchikuw Karu LGA and Tammah Nasarawa LGA.to create awareness on the issue child Protection and the mandate of the committee to take up any issue that arises seriously.
- Birth Certificate aquisition for our project beneficiaries
