World Mental Health Day Commemoration
Future Generations Foundation, Africa Mental Health Awareness and Care Initiative, and the Association of Psychiatric Nurses of Nigeria (APNON), in partnership with local and international organizations, are proud to announce a powerful collaboration for a truly impactful World Mental Health Day event.
In order to deliver an unforgettable experience with the right expertise and meaningful engagement, our October 11th commemoration has been postponed.

We are honoured to announce His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina, as the Royal Father of the Day, and His Royal Highness, the Emir of Daura, as our Special Royal Guest of Honour for the World Mental Health Day Commemoration, Katsina 2025.

Today, we officially set the stage for the 2025 World Mental Health Day commemoration in Katsina. Guided by this year’s global theme ‘Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies’, we are reminded that even in the face of crises, resilience begins with mental well-being.
Our journey starts now, with a series of pre-event activities designed to enlighten, engage, and mobilize our community. Together, let us amplify awareness, inspire action, and honor champions of mental health.
