This was Esau’s story.

He was his father Isaac’s favorite (Genesis 25:28), yet he never truly understood his father’s heart. That lack of spiritual insight cost him everything:

He sold his birthright just to satisfy a temporary hunger.

He married Hittite women — a decision that grieved his parents deeply (Genesis 26:34–35).

He lived loved, but disconnected from what truly mattered to his father.
