We step into unfamiliar territory holding hope a little tighter than certainty, trusting that the hand we've been dealt is enough to move us forward. Sometimes it's luck. Sometimes it's courage. Most times, it's impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins.

Beginner's Luck reflects on that fragile moment before the outcome is known, when possibility feels limitless and every choice has the power to change everything.

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to execute my first commissioned mural painting for .lawpartners.ng, a defining moment that pushed my practice beyond Canvas and into space.

Grateful for the trust, and the learning that came with it. Looking forward to more walls, more stories, and bigger conversations.

This piece grew from a sketch I made years ago, one I didn’t fully understand at the time.
Today, it carries a meaning shaped by time and experience.

Life hand each of us a different set of cards: moments, experiences, challenges, blessings.
Some come bright and full of promise, others heavy with lessons we didn’t ask for.
But the real story isn’t in the cards themselves…
it’s in how we choose to hold them, learn from them, and play them with intention.

This work is a reflection on growth, choice, and the quiet strength that comes from understanding your own journey.
Every card, every lesson, every choice, they all come together to form the narrative we carry forward.
