Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, has always described the sizzling competition ongoing in the smartphone world as “a war of life and death.”

Two days ago, Xiaomi dazzled stylishly to launch an all-new “Xiaomi Mix Fold 3” in the foldable department, and here's what Lei has to say on the popular microblogging website Weibo “[We strive to] fully benchmark against Apple in [terms of] product and experience, and become China’s biggest high-end brand in the next three years.”

Throughout the announcement, Lei constantly compared the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 to Apple’s current hotshot, the ever-spectacular iPhone 14 Pro Max.

If we say Apple(iPhone) is the trendsetter, Andriod users will call for our head😅.

Will the “iPhone Mini” ever return?

Long before the year 2020, when the iPhone 12 series debuted. Fans, lovers of one of the most successful brands in the world Apple have always appealed to the Cupertino tech-based giant to offer small-screen devices with trendy features.

Apple was attentive to its ever-growing community. Shortly after several considerations, the long-awaited, first-ever iPhone Mini, the “iPhone 12 Mini”, emerges in full glory. At a 5.4-inch model, fans around the globe predicted a long reign for the lovely phone.

However, the mini phone has not been able to live up to expectations. Trouble first arose when Apple reportedly cut production of the iPhone 12 mini by two million units in just a few months of debuts due to lackluster sales.

“iPhone 12 Pro lead times remain extended far beyond any model launched in the past 4 years at 10 days. Lead times decreased from 22 days ~2 weeks ago as Apple ramps iPhone 12 production signaled by our iPhone supply chain team, led by Sharon Shih, recently raising March quarter iPhone 12 Pro builds by 2M units (which offset a 2M build reduction for the iPhone 12 mini)” as seen on Morgan Stanley investment note in early 2021.

By the second quarter of 2021, Apple had already halted the production of the iPhone 12 Mini, completely. As a company that executes its product in such a stylish fashion, time is required, so Apple plans its production way before advance of launch. It was too late for Apple to stop iPhone 13 mini production. Before they could know that iPhone 12 mini sales were a not-to-talk-about one, iPhone 13 Mini was already in production.

Well, Apple hoped that iPhone 13 Mini will not ride on the bad sales of the iPhone 12 Mini, rather, the iPhone 13 Mini performed more awfully. At some point, while iPhone 12 Mini accounted for an awful 6% of iPhone 12 series sales, iPhone 13 Mini accounted for just a meager 3% of iPhone 13 series sales.

The “Mini” wasn't a success, and two years later, upon iPhone 14 series launch, Apple dropped the mini-series with the introduction of an all-new “Plus” series. As it stands, there's a higher possibility that the iPhone Mini will not return, even if it'll, at least, not now.

You know, as a vendor, it's easier for you to pick records of those who switched to Apple's iPhone from Andriod through you. It's effortless.

And, from them, not for a day have we seen any of them have a cause to switch back to Andriod after the bold move, except, for some, in rare case scenarios. Often when we make these bold claims, some camps feel, expectedly, that it's just ‘A Pronounced Exaggeration.’

Well, just like we've mentioned earlier, iPhone XR, Xs Max, and the latter flagships have been highly flourishing in Apple’s history considerably that they amassed much wealth and followership for Apple, so much that in a matter of time, the Cupertino tech-based giant will emerge as the most valuable smartphone brand in the world, with Samsung soon to abdicate, lol.

A recent survey conducted by Consumer Intelligence Research Partner (CIRP) affirmed that an increasing trend in the percentage of Android users shifting to Apple’s iPhone is at an all-time high, with an average of 83.8% since 2018. Honestly, iPhone is swaying.

One thing we cannot over-emphasise on paper and words is the startling presence of Samsung in the smartphone industry.

Samsung is highly pivotal to the success of most of its counterparts. Take, for instance, when it comes to design models, Apple’s zeal to become independent is well known, as the Cupertino tech-based giant designs almost all the parts its devices use.

But, when it comes to display, Apple is dependent on several companies such as Samsung, LG, and BOE, with Samsung holding the largest share.

In 2021, several reports reported that Samsung earned a staggering $10.3 billion from Apple, while LG earned $3.6 billion. With MicroLED emerging as the new display technology prodigy, the world looks to move away from LCD and OLED displays, with the MicroLED tipped with tremendous potential the previous display technology mentioned. So, in a fast move to break away from dependency, Apple Plans To Invests $1 Billion in MicroLED Technology to Revolutionize Displays.

Massive win for Apple if it happens.

Ecosystem like no other.
