Your Google Business Profile monthly performance report is more than a collection of numbers. It is a picture of your online business activities.
The combination of clear numbers and easy-to-understand insights is what keeps us eagerly looking forward to each month's report as we support entrepreneurs in delivering better results. For us, every report is not just about what happened. It is about understanding why it happened and what can be done better.
Imagine in a particular quarter, the number of calls and requests for directions to your business keeps declining. This is a signal not just a number.
It could be telling you that your business is attracting more community-based customers than customers discovering you online from outside your immediate area.
We are in year 2026. Having sales is no longer enough. You need to know where those sales are coming from, what is driving them, and where you may be losing potential customers.
Sometimes, the problem is not that customers are not interested. You may simply be losing sales because of an issue that could easily be identified and fixed.
Remember, whenever you receive a business report, do not just read the numbers, read the story behind them. The numbers tell you what happened while the story helps you understand why it happened.
Finally, when you understand the story, you can make better decisions about what to do better.

Yes, unclaimed dividends of 6 years ago and above have been transferred into Unclaimed Funds Trust Fund (UFTF). Unclaimed dividends used to be after 12 years it will become statute-barred and return to the company.
Presently, the money is managed and held in trust for for the shareholder by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The shareholders can continue to claim eligible unclaimed dividends but the recovery is not automatic.
There is a process to it. Visit: e-Dividend Mandate Management

Managing a profitable business is not all-comers-affair except it is a charitable organization.
The profitability of a business is not solely dependent on volume of sales made in a given period of time.
Sales made that are not properly recorded in the books is more like gambling. It could end up somewhere else other than in the business.
The redirection of business funds could be a planned deal or a mere oversight in receivables (debtors) management.
Knowing your business numbers is good. However, your business records is your compass and without it you are flying blind. This makes crashing (closing down) of business unavoidable, just a matter of time!

They say the assumption is the lowest form of knowledge.
But why? Assumptions are not facts. They are conclusions we create without sufficient evidence. They may feel true, sound logical, or even seem obvious, but they are often built on incomplete information.
When there is incomplete information, there are gaps. Those gaps can lead to costly mistakes, misunderstandings, missed opportunities, and poor decisions.
Instead of allowing assumptions to drive your actions, choose a more reliable path.
Be clear about what you want to achieve. Work with the facts and information available to you at the moment. Develop your plans based on what you know, while remaining open to new insights and better information when they emerge.
In other words, make decisions from evidence, not imagination. Let facts guide your direction, and let superior knowledge refine your course when necessary.
When you adopt this approach, you protect yourself from many of the traps that assumptions create.
Most importantly, the gaps in your thinking become smaller, your decisions become stronger, and your chances of success increase significantly.
Assume less and verify more. The quality of your decisions will always rise to the quality of the information on which they are built.

Rev360, Nigeria’s tax portal, has a really interesting feature that caught my attention.
Your business login details can be sent to you securely without the actual credentials appearing openly in the body of the email. You simply click the section with the padlock and key to reveal them.
It may sound like a small feature, but honestly, *these are the little things that make a big difference.
Compared the earlier software we used for tax filing and tax payments in Nigeria, Rev360 feels much more seamless, modern, and user-friendly.
We look forward to seeing full functionality of the features available in the software.
Nigeria Revenue Service - NRS , well done.

Many business owners hear the phrase business structure and immediately think about succession planning, who takes over when they are no longer around. While that is important, it is only one piece of a much bigger picture.
What often matters more in the immediate term is whether the business can remain profitable, survive challenges, and continue growing. One of the factors that play a major role is tax compliance.
Tax is much like death, it is certain. Ignoring it does not make it disappear. Instead of operating in denial, intelligent business owners build a structure that keeps their businesses sustainable and scalable.
A well-designed structure helps a business take advantage of available tax reliefs, claim allowable expenses, and remain compliant with the law.
A business structure defines how a business is organized, how it operates, and how it relates to government and regulatory authorities.
Take a moment to reflect on these questions:
1. How is your business organized?
This is your ownership structure.
2. How does your business operate?
This is how you create, deliver, and capture value.
3. How does your business relate to the government and the law?
This reflects your level of compliance with the regulatory bodies that oversee your industry.
Whether your answers are already documented or still in your head. Remember, there is always room for improvement.
The businesses that stand the test of time are not necessarily the biggest. They are the ones that are intentionally structured, properly managed, and consistently compliant.
Growth is not accidental and sustainability is designed.
