Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [رحمه الله] said:
“It is not permissible to bow before the Imam bows or prostrate before the Imam prostrates.”
[Majmū' al-Fatāwā, 23/336]
The Companions (radiyAllahu’anhum) did not bend their backs [to prostrate] until the Prophet [ﷺ] prostrated.
[Sahīh al-Bukhārī No. 690 and Sahīh Muslim No. 1062]
The Prophet [ﷺ] said:
“The Imam is appointed to be Followed, so do not bow until he bows and do not prostrate until he prostrates.”
[Sahīh Muslim, No. 929]

“Nothing embodies greater injustice than heedlessness, no blindness is more worse than the blindness of the heart, and no betrayal is more severe than the act of procrastination.”

Shaykh Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Madkhali [حفظه الله] said:
«نعوذ بالله أن نسعى في ظلم حيوان ! فضلا عن مسلم!»
❝We seek refuge with Allaah from the oppression of animals, never mind the oppression of a Muslim!❞
