As a man, it's unwise to marry solely for love or sympathy.
A single man can often endure hardship, such as delaying medical care or foregoing medication when ill. However, he would likely be unwilling to subject his wife and children to the same sacrifices.
Therefore, it's prudent for a man to be in reasonably sound financial condition before considering marriage.
Marriage entails responsibilities that extend beyond love and physical intimacy.
These deeper aspects of commitment may only become apparent within the context of marriage itself and not mere relationship.
