Role description
We are seeking a qualified School Librarian for a full-time, on-site role in Port Harcourt. The librarian will be responsible for managing the school's library, organizing the annual book fair, and promoting effective library use on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities
*Oversee library operations.
*Organize and manage the annual book fair .
*Promote reading culture among students
*Maintain an up-to-date digital and physical library collection
*Assist students and staff in accessing research materials and digital resources
*Implement technology-driven library solutions

Qualifications
*Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science or a related field
*Master’s degree is an added advantage
*Strong knowledge of library management and library services
*Tech-savvy with experience in digital library tools
*Excellent communication and organizational skills
*Ability to work effectively in a school environment

On behalf of the National Organizing Committee of the NLA National Conference scheduled to hold on Sunday, 6th July to 11th july 2025, I hereby announce the CALL FOR PAPER for the conference.

THEME: 5TH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION AND THE FUTURE OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SERVICE DELIVERY IN A CHANGING WORLD.

The timeline for the submission of papers is as follows:

Submission of Abstracts: 10th December, 2024 to 31st
January 2025

Submission of full paper on acceptance: 3rd February, 2025 to 1st May, 2025

Last Date for notification of Acceptance or rejection of papers: 15th May, 2025.

NB:

Interested authors are encouraged to note the IMPORTANT DATES for compliance as NO EXTENSION OF DATES shall be entertained, PLEASE.

The conference POSTER will be released containing all the conference SUBTHEMES AND OTHER DETAILS.
