Finding love seemed nearly impossible for him in the settlement where he resided. Born and raised in Makurdi, he had experienced numerous highs and lows in relationships. This time, however, he was ready for a new chapter. He travelled to a distant community called Agasha, located in the Guma local government area of Benue State, about an hour and a half from Makurdi. After settling in, he met an incredible young woman—a student at the community's College of Health Technology, Agasha—an enchanting Idoma girl named Ene. Her smile was captivating, and she was breathtakingly beautiful.

As wonderful as she was, however, her cooking skills left much to be desired. She would cook by preparing a dish with an overwhelming amount of pepper and merely sprinkling rice into it. The first time he tasted her food, Samuel couldn't help but chuckle. "My darling, you know I love you. You're amazing and beautiful, but this isn't it," he gently teased. Though Ene felt bad initially, she quickly resolved to improve. Within just two weeks, she had perfected her cooking skills, much to Samuel's astonishment. "Wow, you're truly wife material, and a fast learner—one of the fastest I know," he remarked, impressed.

After a few more outings and conversations, the two became inseparable. The locals often referred to them as the best couple in town, their love likened to that of Romeo and Juliet, or Jay Z and Beyoncé.
