Companion series continues after months of emotional break.

*COMPANION (Late Baba Arẹwà and Riro the dog)*

Babe Arẹwà as we all nephews and nieces grew to know him called was a very handsome man in his prime, Baba would go about with comb in his pocket because he believed so much in looking good always.
He was a very loyal and confident politician, he would sit us down at Grandma's (His mother) house at Ilẹ́mọ̀ street, Okesha - Iléṣà to tell us long interesting stories and arguments of boring political tussles and struggles of Olagunsoye Oyinlọ̀la, Adebisi Akande and greedy actions of politicians in Osun state. Baba Arewa was loyal to the Alliance for Democracy Party (AD) that changed to ACN and APC today. All those stories weren't necessary to our ears but Nana Arẹwà was a great story teller, even whenever he visits us in Lagos, the gist is same.
RIRO was the only name grandma gives all her dogs even till this day. Short for RIRO NÍ T'ENIYAN, ṢÍṢE NÍ T'OLUWA... meaning, Man proposes, God disposes... 🤣 🤣
Baba Arẹwà, may your soul rest in peace.You left us just too soon.

USMAN and LUCKY... COMPANION series O3

Always a life trying moment for Usman whenever Hajia, his mom as fondly called by other kids in the neighborhood shaves his head with the local hair cutting blade his dad got him two Salah holidays ago. Usman's head after shaved can be seen sweating profusing during or after any task that requires his attention and energy. His father loves his head clean, his mom would also apply the locally made coconut oil on his head after his morning bathe making his head compete with the sun on extreme sunny days but the bullies in SS 2 class would never seize to stop taking turns to rub his head or even slap it for fun.
For this reason, Usman has no friend in class or in school because even his classmates would call him headmaster, edd-ward and so many unfriendly names.
Just last month, his uncle relocated to France and transferred ownership of Lucky to him as one of his parting gift. Lucky is a 2 years old German Shepherd Usman has known all its life, playful and loves Usman as well, always licking off Usman sweats from his head and that makes him unusually comfortable. Now Lucky would be with him for eternity, his only companion, his friend and his playmate. Usman and Lucky would remain a perfect duo for a long time, a perfect Companionship yet seen
