RULES AND RESULTS.

Rules are more important than results.

If a player scores a million goals from an offside position, he has scored NO goal. All his goals are DISQUALIFIED even though the ball hits the back of the net.
If he scores a thousand goals with his hands, he has scored NO goal. He might even be given a yellow card. The RULE of the game forbids that goals be scored with the hand.

If he fouls a player in his attempt to score, his goal is disqualified.

In all of these cases, the ball actually rolls to the back of the net. The result is achieved and seen. But the goal is disqualified because the RESULT is not ACCORDING to the RULES.

Same for spiritual things.
We don't first consider RESULTS, we consider the RULES.
It's not first about the achievements.
We must check to see if the result is according to the rules. This is one major issue of concern today in the Body of Christ. Many are only interested in results. The question they ask: Did miracles, signs and wonders happen? If Yes, then it is the right thing. We seem to have so quickly forgotten that Moses performed a great wonder by bringing water out of the Rock yet he was in disobedience.

Truth validates itself. Truth is truth because it is the truth. Truth is not validated by evidences or experiences. Truth bears testimony to itself. Our desire ought to be to do it as the scriptures instruct it to be done. Then the result will take care of itself.

If we follow the rule, we need not worry ourselves about the result. But if our eyes are on the result and not the rules, we may end up scoring "goals", go ahead to jubilate and celebrate, get everyone cheering us, ONLY TO SEE THE LINES MAN RAISE UP HIS FLAG...DISQUALIFYING OUR GOAL.

Then it'd all be for nothing.

"And if anyone enters competitive games, he is not crowned unless he competes LAWFULLY [FAIRLY, ACCORDING TO THE RULES LAID DOWN" 2Timothy 2:4

Somehow…

We have managed to discard that age-long practice we were raised with, to always bless (give thanks and pray over) our food before we eat it.

Never mind.
We are the sabi generation.
Or perhaps rightly put, over-sabi generation.

Go back to the values you were raised with.
Your parents weren’t wrong about everything.
Or let me say, there weren’t wrong about many things.

Na rush of blood dey do plenty of us.

Irreverence is such a big deal when it comes to supernatural operations and experiences.

The angels of God, who are enforcers of His divine will in earthly places, are repelled by it. They cannot stay. And they cannot work.

Satan is an idiot!
Whenever he wants to bring about a decline or diminished experiences in a particular supernatural operation, what he does is to inspire mockery and disdain for it.

This comes in different ways and forms.
Sometimes, even via teaching. Funny, right?
Yet we fall victims, undiscerningly.

We speak lightly of the works of God in earthly places, yet wonder why His works aren't as they used to be.

True, God's word creates discernment, caution, and a circumspect approach to supernatural things, yet in all these, it never disdains nor derides.

We make a fool of ourselves when we attempt to use logical parameters to judge supernatural operations. Logic infects with doubts. Faith believes, receives, and SEES.

Rediscover your reverence for supernatural things. His Spirit is moving...yet strongly, again. With His heavens open, and abundance of rain falling, diverse kinds of supernatural experiences are yet again being stored.

The weird. The wild. And the strange.
Critics and doubters will have much to feed on in the days ahead..
And believers with have yet much more to lay hold of, taste, and handle.

Angels ascending and descending,
On a mission to invade our space with the supernatural of God.

The time is now.
HIS TIME IS NOW!!!!!

God always gives us something different.
And His “different” is ALWAYS better.

Whilst our taste buds have been used to the fish, cucumbers, and melons of Egypt, God doesn’t give us cucumber pro max. Nay, He gives us something different: Manna!

It will taste differently, because we aren’t used to it. It might also look boring to our eyes. And unless we discipline emotions to forget about Egypt and its varieties, our hearts will oft stray back there, forgetting it held us captives for years.

We must now discipline our taste buds and adjust it to God’s Manna: a different way of life and manner of living.

To hell with Egypt…and its sinful varieties.
