Exodus Chapter 38.

The Alter of Burnt Offering;

The making , the descriptions and spiritual representation of tabernacle furniture.

Let us regard the Lord Jesus Christ while reading of the furniture of the tabernacle.

The pieces of silver showed the purity of the truth upon which the church is founded.

While looking at the altar of burnt-offering, let us see Jesus. In him, his righteousness, and salvation, is a full and sufficient offering for sin.
In the laver of regeneration, by his Holy Spirit, let our souls be washed, and they shall be clean; and as the people offered willingly, so may our souls be made willing.

Exodus Chapter 35.
There are 3 Points to consider in this passage:
1. Observing The Sabbath Day.
2. Surrendering All To God.( Your Time, Your Resources and your Talent.
3. God Devine Appointment.

In today's chapter, God want us to learn the significant of his Holy Day. And the significant of surrendering ourselves for his service.

In Exodus chapter 35 Vs 1-3, Mosses commanded the Israelite to observe the sabbath or face death as consequence.
Today, Christ has made our sabbath duties more delightful, but we are the more guilty by neglecting them. Surely God's wisdom in giving us the sabbath is for our growth in grace with Christ. It's a mandate from GOD to fellowship together.
Psalm 133vs 1.

Exodus Chapter 35 vs 4-29.

Instruction to give toward building the tabernacle.
And Mosses said, Whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring.

Verse 29, The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

'God loves a cheerful giver.'

Exodus chapter 35vs 30 -35.

God appoints whosoever he wants for his service. Roman 8-29. Jeremiah 1vs 7
Whom God appoints he fills with his wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

30 And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

Exodus chapter 34.

(The merciful and glorious God)

"Remember in chapter 32, Moses angrily broke the commandments he received on the mountain after seeing the idolatry of the people.

And in chapter 33, Moses pleaded with God to restore his presence with the Israelites.

In Today's chapter, Exodus 34.

Moses returned to the mountain as instructed by God to bring the two pieces of the table he earlier broke. The lord said 'he will write upon the tables the words that were in the first tables.

When Moses Got to the mountain, The LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name (his own name), the LORD (Yahway, I Am). As.....
".......The merciful; slow to anger, giving time for repentance, only punishing when it is needful, Keeping mercy for thousands; and continually shows mercy to sinners"and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation".

Moses bowed down, and worshipped reverently. He requests God presence to go with them if he has received his mercy.

God commanded the Israelite to destroy every monument of idolatry, to refuse all alliance, friendship, or marriage with idolaters, and all idolatrous feasts; and all idolatrous feats; and they were reminded not to repeat the crime of making molten images.

Lastly, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in His' hand. His face shone , no one could look at him. He covered his face with vail.

God bless you - thanks for studying the passage with us.

Exodus chapter 33. Today 15/1/2017

The Survey of this chapter from (Verse 1-6)

Their sin (golden idol) in the previous chapter was very expressive of God's displeasure. The Lord refuses to go with them despite his promises to make good his covenant with Abraham, in giving them Canaan. The people mourned for their sin and no man did put on him his ornaments.

Survey of (7-11).

Moses set up a temporary building for worship, (A tabernacle without camp) the people were very desirous to be at peace with God, and concerned to please God. The cloudy pillar which had withdrawn from the camp when it was polluted with idolatry, now returned.
Note this ___If our hearts go forth toward God to meet him, he will graciously come to meet us. (Amen)

Survey of (verse 12-23).

Moses desires to see the glory of God.
Moses intercede for the Israelite as Christ did for us.
By the intercession of Christ, we are not only saved from ruin, but become entitled to everlasting happiness.

Exodus Chapter 32

Exodus chapter 31.

In the previous chapters, we have studied how God showed Moses the tabernacle.
Now, in today's chapter, God is instructing Moses whom to appoint to do the work.
Moses had already spent 40 days and night fasting on mount Sinai when God spoke to him concerning this.

I. He appoints what workmen should be employed in the building and furnishing of the tabernacle (v. 1-11).

II. He repeats the law of the sabbath, and the religious observance of it (v. 12-17).

III. He delivers to him the two tables of the testimony at parting (v. 18).

Lessons to consider in this chapter:

1: Those whom God calls to any service, he will find or make fit for it. From verse 1-12 of this chapter, God miraculously gave Bezaleel and Aholiab the skills and appoint them for the work instead of those skilled craftsmen around them.

Dear reader, do you know you're specially gifted?
Don't think you are not qualify to do his work?, The Spirit who gave the apostles utterance in divers tongues, is our teacher. He teaches us all things. This spirit of truth, having instructed God’s people in the OT and Jesus Christ’s disciples in the NT, the Spirit of truth continues to reveal the truth of God to believers. Amen 🙏 🙏 🙏 .

2. The Hebrew word shabath signifies rest, or ceasing from labour. "Remember the sabbath day and keep it Holy" Exodus 31 vs 12-17, Isaiah 48:13-14, Exodus 20:8-11.

The Tabernacle and the Alter of Incense.

Exodus Chapter 30
In Today's chapter; God gave following instructions to Moses :

I.concerning the altar of incense (verse 1-10)

II. Concerning the ransom-money which the Israelites were to pay, when they were numbered (v. 11-16).

III. Concerning the laver of brass, which was set for the priests to wash in (v. 17-21).

IV. Concerning the making up of the anointing oil, and the use of it (v. 22-33).

V. Concerning the incense and perfume which were to be burned on the golden altar (v. 34, etc.).

Let Survey this Chapter.

The altar of incense represented the son of God in his human nature, and the daily incense burned typified his pleading, the continual intercession of christ for Gods children.
Also, the blood of atonement applied once every year denotes the suffering of christ and the greatest sacrifice (v. 1-10).

The half a shekel ( like fifteen pence of UK money) mentioned in this chapter is to be used for the service of the tabernacle. All are to pay equally, the rich were not to give more and the poor are not to give less. this signifies that the souls of all men are of equal value. therefore, every living soul must contribute significantly to the gospel of christ (v 11-16)

The large Vessel holding water set near the door of the tabernacle is for Aaron and his son to wash their hands and feet anytime they want to come into the tabernacle. Typically, this teaches us Purity and cleansing for the service of God. holy is our God, daily repentance of our sins by the blood of Jesus makes us worthy before the Lord. (v. 16-21)

The incense burnt upon the golden altar was prepared of sweet spices and sweet -smelling savour, that pleased God, and thus, God kept his people in mind by doing this. The incense was not to be used by anybody, jest with or abuse. sacred to show the excellence of holiness.
