In this era where money and how much material things one has is required as success how do we make a case for self fulfilment. Yet you can be fulfilled in what you do, feel happy and successful and not necessarily being rich or possessing a lot of material things. Unless we want to look very deep and go on a voyage of philosophical definition of success and start seeing that as success. Even if that also can be considered as success and in fact it is, how many have that deep understanding. Though those that are very deep in their reasoning understand very well that having a lot of money and material things isn't alone define as success, in the culmination of things that could be regarded as success, self fulfillment is a great factor to consider. Whats more, a fool can suddenly come in contact with a lot of money; haven't we heard various news where nonentities won a huge amount of money from lottery. A deep person knows that self fulfilment takes larger percentage of success compared to having a lot of money without it.

Wanting what another has is a sign of not knowing what one wants. For example, Ada an actress covets and ready to do what ever it takes to have what Adaobi a very rich Accountant has, Ada sees Adaobi as a very happy and fulfilled lady not knowing that Adaobi hates her life and of the opinion that if only she could life her dream of becoming an actress, even if not paid for jobs done her life will be meaningful.

There can never be a direction or focus without purpose of truly knowing what one wants. It is only when you understand your purpose or knows what you want that you can be said to have direction, to be focused. One who does not who does not know what he wants or what his purpose his will just be like an empty plastic in an ocean tossed every where by the waves of the ocean. He will do everything imaginable, jump from one job to the other.

I watched a cartoon recently call SOUL by PIXAR animation. The story talks about discovering ones Spark, purpose. In a barber's shop scene, Joe Gardener's Soul living in a cat said " one is expected to do what you are born to do, you choose a different purpose and you live the rest of your life miserably. What are you born to do? Discovering that is the most difficult thing there is, isn't it? That is a puzzle left for everyone to unravel.

In the animation story Joe Gardener's felt his life had no purpose on earth as he was struggling to break through as a musician. He plays a piano. He died and his Soul left his body to a place called THE GREAT BEFORE. There he met 22 a Soul who has never visited Earth before because he believed he has no purpose, he believed he is useless. In a nut shell, Joe Gardner who feels his life has no purpose helped 22 get his purpose and in the event of helping 22 also become aware of his own purpose....what a great story.

The majority of unhappy faces around is not because of lack of money or because the economy is hard but because to start with they don't even understand what their purpose is. They are just living like a Traveller without direction or map. They are like ADA and Adaobi cited above....Their frustration is not tied to anything external but a lot of things internal.

Real happiness is not tied to Money or material things but self fulfilment and self fulfilment comes only when you can identify your purpose and the reason you think you are on planet Earth, what problem you are here to solve or what havoc you are here to create.

A lot of us has overlook self fulfillment for money and material things and that is why many despite their wealth are unhappy or that is why many who don't even have money are also unhappy.

Discovering purpose is such a heavy burden...at times you are full of opitimism, energy and ready to conquer... Also, at times the question of "are you sure you are doing the right thing comes knocking gently but very loud. You begin to question your breathe and existence. I really don't know what those low moments are for or why or what they do...., perhaps, it's those moment that shape ones direction because it should be a moment of deep reflection. Reflecting might be equally hard in this moment because of the fear and hopelessness such thinking brings. Some just lost it In this very moment and begin to drink till they become drunkard, some suck it up, shake the thought away and forge ahead with dodgedness, some think it's the better avenue to end everything.. what ever your reaction is in this low moment your reaction will determine how far you will go or how strong you are. The good news is this thought don't last long if you already map out the direction you want to thread, the bad news is this thought won't cease coming to taunt you.

Trends without wisdom

At first it was NO WORRIES that was trending and when ever I see anybody especially ladies post it I just laugh at the self deciet. Now it is PROBLEM NO DEY FINISH. Really!! it is important to differentiate between challenges and difficulties. Challenges are necessary for growth. Don't deliberately put yourself in difficulties and come out here to tell us problems no dey finish. Which problem, the one you foolishly put yourself into.

Every morning without eating you consume alcohol, I mean dry Jin. You were warned of the harmful effect but you persisted. Now your kidney is failing, to console yourself you are busy saying problem no dey finish...how foolish are you.

Just for greed and temporal enjoyment, diabolically you hypnotized someone...use her panties or even killed her just to get money. Now Karma has visited you and you are beginning to exhibit madness. Your birds of a feather friend sees you, to console themsleves they say problems no dey finish. I ask again, which problem. The one you willingly plunge yourself into abi...Murasi

Again, understand the differences between challenges and difficulties. Challenges are not problems. Challenges are ladders you need to climb for you to grow Challenges are necessary evil. Challenges can be avoided, its just that avoiding it is a challenge and going through it also is a challenge. It is left for you to decide which one you prefer. Let me state clearly; avoid challenges at your own detriment, avoid and be stagnant., Face it and grow. Stagnancy and growth are both challenges....so choose wisely.

Difficulties can be avoided....just be guided by consience....stop foolishly following trends without understanding.
