2027: GROUP DROPS ESTABLISHED POLITICIANS, ENDORSES OGBODO FOR SENATE
The race for Enugu East Senatorial District in 2027 has taken a new turn after the Ebubechukwu Uzo Coalition, a strong political force in the state, announced its support for Hon. Jeph Afam Ogbodo.
The coalition said the decision has unsettled many top politicians in the zone. According to the group, it decided to drop the usual contenders and back Ogbodo for the Senate, a move it believes will change the political outlook in NkanuLand.
Speaking on the endorsement, the coalition said the choice followed a careful and secret screening of all major aspirants. It explained that Enugu East has suffered for too long under leaders who are more interested in Abuja comfort than the needs of the people at home.
The group expressed frustration with what it called “silent senators” who only appear during elections while issues like youth unemployment and bad roads remain unsolved in the communities.
The coalition said Hon. Jeph Afam Ogbodo stands out among the aspirants. A native of Akegbe-Ugwu in Nkanu West Local Government Area, Ogbodo has lived among his people, understands their challenges, and our people are strongly behind him. The group added that he has a clean record and the courage to end years of poor representation in the zone.
Defending the endorsement, the Founder and Convener of the coalition, Hon. Sampson Ebubechukwu Ukwu, said the decision was based on integrity and capacity alone, without money or sentiment involved.
He has directed all coordinators, youth groups and religious allies in the six LGAs of Nkanu West, Nkanu East, Enugu South, Enugu East, Enugu North and Isi-Uzo to begin immediate mobilisation for the Ogbodo project.
The coalition is also calling on stakeholders, market women and youths across NkanuLand to reject the old political order and support Ogbodo with their time, social media platforms and prayers. It declared that the time of neglect for Enugu East is over, as the right candidate has now emerged to take charge.

I WILL NOT SLEEP IN THE SENATE, JEPH AFAM OGBODO VOWS VIBRANT REPRESENTATION FOR ENUGU EAST
Amidst a surge of grassroots enthusiasm, leading senatorial aspirant for Enugu East, Hon. Jeph Afam Ogbodo has officially pledged a departure from the era of silent representation.
Speaking during an interactive town hall meeting held over the weekend at Akegb-Ugwu his country side home, Ogbodo assured a cross section of constituents, traditional rulers and youth leaders that his tenure in the Red Chamber would be defined by an uncompromising vocal presence and a relentless pursuit of the zone's interests.
Addressing the crowd in a speech that has since sparked widespread conversation across the district, Hon. Ogbodo directly tackled the perception of legislative inactivity. I am not going to Abuja to occupy a seat for the sake of decorum or to be a spectator in the hallowed chambers, Ogbodo declared. I will not sleep in the Senate. I am going there to be the wake-up call for the development of Enugu East, our people have waited too long for a voice that resonates with their struggles, and I am ready to be that voice.
The aspirant emphasized that the primary duty of a lawmaker is to serve as a bridge between the local needs of the people and the national resources of the federation. He noted that the era of returning home only during election cycles is over, promising instead to establish functional constituency offices that will serve as hubs for continuous engagement and feedback.
Throughout the meeting, Hon. Ogbodo outlined a legislative agenda focused on three core pillars: economic empowerment through specialized vocational funding, infrastructure advocacy for neglected federal corridors within the zone and the sponsorship of bills that protect the agricultural interests of the Nkanu people and the wider Enugu East.
Representation is a sacred trust, he continued. When a senator sleeps, the dreams of his people die. When a senator is silent, the grievances of his constituents are buried. I am offering a new deal, a deal of visibility, accountability, and tangible results. We will ensure that our share of the national cake is not just discussed but delivered.
The town hall, which saw representatives from all six Local Government Areas in the senatorial zone, concluded with a unanimous vote of confidence from various community stakeholders, many attendees expressed a shared sentiment that the zone requires a representative with the energy and intellectual depth to navigate the complexities of the National Assembly.
As the primary season approaches, Hon. Jeph Afam Ogbodo’s Active Voice campaign continues to gain momentum, positioning him as a formidable contender dedicated to transforming the legislative landscape of Enugu East.

APC Youth Leadership: Trust and vote for Hon. Dr. Sanusi Amadu Ado.
As the gates of Eagle Square, Abuja, scheduled to open from March 25th to 28th, 2026, the All Progressives Congress (APC) stands at a critical crossroad beyond the high-stake, politics of national leadership lies a more fundamental question on who will lead the vanguard of the party’s most potent asset—its youth?
In the search for a bridge-builder, a visionary and a grassroots mobilizer, one name from the heart of the "New World" (Jigawa State) has begun to resonate with a clarity that cannot be ignored.
The Jigawa Factor: Representation that matters for too long, the political narrative has often sidelined the immense intellectual and mobilization capital of the North-West’s emerging leaders.
Hon. Hon. Dr. Sanusi Amadu Ado's aspiration is not merely a personal ambition; it is a quest for adequate representation under Jigawa State's current progressive trajectory which has become a laboratory for youth inclusion.
In fact, bringing this "Jigawa Model" to the national stage is envisaged by Hon. Dr. Sanusi to offer the APC a blueprint for transforming youth energy into electoral and governance success the person with youth exuberance, vision, rare blend of academic depth and political grit stands out in a crowded field of aspirants as the best candidate.
It is a portfolio politician but a leader who understands that the modern Nigerian youth are not just looking for empowerment handouts, but for a seat at the table where digital economy, sustainable agriculture, and education policy are discussed.
His vision for the APC Youth Wing is built on three pillars: Intellectual Mobilization: Moving the youth wing from mere "foot soldiers" to a think-tank for the party. Grassroots Synergy: Creating a direct, digital-link between the National Secretariat and the Ward Youth Leaders.
Inclusivity: Ensuring that the voice of the youth from the Sahel to the Atlantic is heard with equal volume.
The Eagle Square Decider The forthcoming National Convention is a 'Renewed Hope' litmus test as delegates gather under the Abuja sun, the choice for National Youth Leader must transcend sentiments. It requires a character with a clean record, a temperament that unifies and a resume that inspires confidence. Hon. Dr. Sanusi Amadu Ado doesn’t just represent Jigawa state but rather he represents the aspiration of every young Nigerian progressive who believes that competence should be the only currency for leadership.
No doubt, the APC as the ruling party cannot afford a placeholder in the Youth Office. It needs a catalyst as we march toward Eagle Square at the end of the week. The party must look toward the North-West, toward Jigawa State and toward Dr. Sanusi.
He is the right and enthusiastic youth that the party needs at the moment, the youth deserve a leader with these potential and capacity.
As Abuja is calling while the youth are waiting and Hon. Dr. Sanusi Amadu Ado is ready to assume the enamous responsibility. Let's ignite hope better this time around. Hon. Dr. Sanusi Amadu Ado is the only answer to APC’s Youth National leader, so wisely vote for him and see the positive results.
