South Sudan man d!es after drinking 10 litres of milk under two minutes

A MILK-drinking contest in South Sudan has ended in heartache when Baak Magookdit collapsed and died shortly after reportedly consuming about 10 litres of milk.

The event, intended to entertain, turned deadly when his stomach became overly distended and medical efforts failed to save him, TV Yatu learns.

Witnesses laid the blame on the sheer volume of milk—reportedly ten times what a typical adult’s stomach can comfortably hold.

Emergency measures to relieve the pressure were unsuccessful, and the milk remained trapped, preventing the release of air or bowel movement. The man tragically passed away before professional medical help could be administered, reports the Lagosian Magazine.

1. There is Nato intervention politically as well as military.

The only mistake I think Phyna made was reaching out to V.D.M for that extra voice. But I can’t totally blame her because she was tense and in that kind of condition anyone would be desperate for a solution.

Phyna already has leverage. Winning Big Brother Naija means she has a fan base, an audience, and a community to back her up. On top of that, bloggers were already sharing the news so she had enough momentum on her own. V.D.M coming into the picture only became a distraction.

If I were in her shoes I would have handled it myself except maybe if V.D.M had reached out first. Because now instead of it being just Phyna versus the issue at hand it has turned into Phyna versus the issue plus V.D.M plus the criticism that follows.

And this is where a life lesson comes in. There are certain people you should never reach out to in your vulnerable state no matter how bad it gets. Based on their antecedents and how you know they handle issues you don’t take sensitive matters to them. When I was really down there were people I deliberately chose not to call even if I felt like crying. I made it a personal truth that if things ever got to them I would rather face whatever came on my own. It wasn’t pride. It was me protecting my mental health because I was already deep in my struggles. I couldn’t afford an extra energy that would weigh me down further.

The truth is some people don’t even understand what true empathy is. There are certain stages where someone life that doesn’t need blame or analysis of who is right or wrong. At that point all that matters is support and helping them solve the problem at hand. Every other thing about who is right or who is wrong can be trashed out later
