Windhoek RURAL Constituency

Fellow Windhoek Rural Constituency residents, my Landless People's Movement family and to all our sympathizers. I Piet Petrus Adams as the current sitting Regional Councillor for Windhoek Rural Constituency wants to confidently inform you that the Mighty Landless People's Movement Political Party has once again put full trust in me to lead this Constituency for the next five years. First and foremost allow me to extend my appreciation and gratitude to you all that has given your full support to me as well as the Constituency Office. I will definitely fail in my duty if I do not recognize the importance of my staff members CDC and LDC members that has been part of this difficult journey. A big thank you to all members from other political parties that has push me to my limits. Thank you also to others that has kept me on my toes. with your criticism.

Our journey was not an easy feat but I can confidently report back that we manage to :

1. Construct a Prefab Clinic at Mix Settlement that was handed over yesterday.
2. We have initiate a fully fledged ambulance for the Constituency something that has not been seen in the other 120 Constituencies.
3. We have drilled new boreholes at Stinkwater, Autabib, Hamis, Opdam, Nieb, Danigas, Kransneus, IUeros, Verdruk-Saamstaan, Ongombo West, Nauaspoort, Arovlei, Satanslocht and Areb just to mention a few.
4. In the coming months new boreholes will be drilled at Farm Twee koppies, Satanslocht and Brakpan.
5. Groot Aub Sportsfield has been upgraded with new improved fencing and ablution. In addition we manage to secure funds for the construction of a netball court, setting up of water tank and extension of water pipeline and the connection of sewerage line.
6. We have constructed 555 Rural toilets during this five year term. Five of this has been converted to flushing toilets at Verdruk Saamstaan with ten more to come in the current financial year.
7. Vulnerable Learners from Groot Aub Secondary School, Dordabis Primary School, Bloukrans Primary School, Kwakwas, Baumgartsbrunn and Mix Primary School also receive School uniforms, bags and school shoes during this five years.
8. We manage to construct a garden with the Assistance of UNDP at Ongombo West.
9.Water situation at Dordabis has improved drastically after our intervention.
10. Ablution facilities at Nicolaas Witbooi Primary School has been renovated.
11. Dordabis and Seeis Police Cells have been renovated also.
12. Learners from Groot Aub Secondary and others in the Constituency has benefitted through textbook distribution.
13. Importantly I manage to lobby for a Nampost agency in Groot-Aub for the benefit of our elderly and others in Groot-Aub.
14. Groot-Aub Road from the bridge has been priorities as a possible road that will be converted to low volume seal road in the coming years. In the Khomas Road Master plan it stands on number 3 out of 10 prioritize roads in Khomas. This road will link Groot-Aub with Boukrans, Stinkwater and Dordabis.

My residents from Whk Rural Constituency I strongly belief I have laid a foundation within this short five years that was not possible for my predecessors therefore I fully deserve a second chance.

VISION

-To build more classrooms where there are a need.
To construct consulting rooms that will accommodate permanent medical doctors at Dordabis Mix and Groot-Aub. Equally our plans are to upgrade the current pharmacies at Groot-Aub and Dordabis.
- Groot-Aub Sports field is in my plans to get a new lawn with changing rooms.
- We have been in constant consultation with the COW and good news is coming your way about Electrification of households aa well as the replacement of old water pipes. Challenges facing the youth will in conjunction with youth members be addressed.

Remember I am still your neighbour your friend well versed with your hardships and challenges. Someone very familiar with the Windhoek Rural Constituency territory. As we all are heading tomorrow the 26th of November 2025 to the polls to exercise our democratic right as enshrined in the Namibian Constitution:

Remember to cast your vote objectively in this coming elections. This election in particular will separate Men from Boys. It will seperate lies from truth.It's about voting for ethical leadership. This election will test the character of all the candidates. Are we having integrity to do the right thing even if others are not swatching us. How does our credentials look like. Are our hands clean. How is our behavior and attitude in public. All of us has been part of this community the question is what contributions did we brought for the betterment of our society. Since its a public office we are vying for.

@ Windhoek Rural Constituency Youth members let's apply.

All residents of the Constituency is informed that the application forms for our Rural Programs is available now at the Windhoek Rural Constituency Office as well as at Khomas Regional Council.

The long awaited upgrading of the Groot-Aub Sports field will commenced in the next coming days. Today the Site was handover to the contractor. Construction will be done in phases. The first phase include the erecting of a proper fence with ablution facilities that will be connected to the existing network.

This morning the Khomas State of the Region Address 2024 was well presented by Honourable Laura McLeod Katjirua, Governor of Khomas Region. The Governor highlighted all development activities that took place in the 2023/2024 financial year. It is quite evident that Windhoek Rural Constituency has done fairly in addressing the challenges facing our Constituents.

Highlights of projects in the Constituency

- Main Road 49 From Whk to Kupferberg receive a low volume seal . This project still ongoing.
- 26 km.was re-gravelled on Distric Road 826
Main Road 47 will be upgraded to low volume seal Road for 5km .
-Through the Namzip program a total of 4 walking tractors with matching equipment were procured to assist farmers with ploughing. Demonstrations on the utilization of the equipment were done in Nauaspoort and Groot-Aub. Three more big tractors are expected to cater for Dordabis ,Farm Versailles and Ongoing West areas.
- Approximately 12 borehole were drilled in areas like Garib, Audabib, Stinkwater, Hamis, Opdam, Nauaspoort ,IUeros, Satanslocht and Areb.
From the 7 boreholes drilled in Groot-Aub only 5 were regarded as succesfull.

Educational Assistance

- Eight first year students were assisted with registrations fees to study at Tertiary Institutions of their choice.

Back to School Program

-Under the Back to school program 40 vulnerable learners from Mix Primary School and Baumgartsbrunn Primary School receive new school uniform with shoes.

Minor Capital program

- Groot Aub Rural ICT Centre under MICT receive equipment.
- Procurement of textbooks for schools in all 10 Constituencies has been completed to the value of N$ 2.1 million.
- Procurement of Medical Equipment for N$ 73 000 for Mix Settlement Outreach Clinic has been completed and is waiting handing over.
- Construction of Prefab Mobile Clinic at Mix Settlement has been completed.
- Procurement of an Ambulance for Windhoek Rural Constituency to the tune of N$ 1,3 Million is completed and the handing over is planned for the 7th of August 2024.
- The Upgrading of Sportsfield at Groot-Aub has been approved to the value of N$ 1, 5 Million.

Rural Development Programme
- 7 projects were supported to the tune of N$ 268 000.
- Two households were assisted with 20 goats plus additional 3 gardening projects supported with materials.
- 2 SME were supported with equipment and materials.

Rural Sanitation Programme.

103 toilets were constructed in different localities at a cost of N$ 1,2 Million. Eighty two at Stinkwater and 21 at Hatsamas.
- 5 pit latrines in Verdruk Saamstaan has been converted to flush toilets.
