Have you seen Omega 3 eggs on the shelf of supermarkets when you visit them?
Do you know how they have omega 3 content ?
Other than DHA and EPA, ALA (α-Linolenic acid ) is also another form of Omega 3. They are usually found in plants. Chia seeds, Kiwi seeds, Flaxseeds are a few famous seeds we know that have high ALA.
By feeding the chickens with seeds or other plant which has ALA, the eggs would have ALA and hence Omega 3 eggs.
But if you look at the price of the so call famous seeds, you would be surprise if the chickens are fed with Chia seeds.
Therefore, make your own opinions if you are buying Omega 3 eggs. There's nothing bad with ALA but the amount of it in the eggs are so little that they don't really make a difference. And study shows that only 1% of ALA will be converted into DHA and EPA.

Fibre.
Chia Seeds are also a good source of fibre. Fiber doesn’t raise blood sugar, therefore they are a good option for people who are diabetic.
They are also a prebiotic, which is a source of food for your probiotic, a healthy bacteria in your stomach. Chia sees are about 40% in fibre, by weight.

Antioxidants.
What exactly it is? I'll try to explain it as layman term as I possible can. Imagine you cut an apple, after 15 minutes or so, give and take, it'll start to be brown/black. That's oxidation. Means the food is getting bad. Same goes for the cells in our body. Our body needs antioxidant for skin health benefits, immune system support and look young.
There're many food that have antioxidants but since I'm on a chia seed series, I'll put some some info about antioxidant in chia seed for you guys.
Food is the best 'medicine' people. If you source your chia seeds , you could probably get some organic ones at RM 50 a kg. Go get some :D

There's no coming back after someone is diagnosed with kidney failure. We all know it's a rich man's disease.

How many have heard or know what Chia seed are?
Since there are numerous benefits of Chia seeds, we will breakdown the benefit of Chia seeds and make it a series as it would be very boring reading a 20-30 minutes article :D.
Let's start with the nutritional values and see how it compares to other food. For a start its called a superfood.
A 1 ounce (28 grams) serving of chia seeds contains
Fiber: 11 grams. (2.5 medium size apples)
Protein: 4 grams. (Half an egg,average size)
Fat: 9 grams (5 of which are Omega-3s).
Calcium: 18% of the RDA.
Manganese: 30% of the RDA.
Magnesium: 30% of the RDA.
Phosphorus: 27% of the RDA.
They also contain a decent amount of Zinc, Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Potassium, Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) and Vitamin B2.
So, there you have it. Calorie for calorie, it is one of the best sources of nutrients.
Also, chia seeds are a “whole grain” food, are usually grown organically, are non-GMO and naturally free of gluten.

Please make sure it's from a reputable company before you purchase any product(s).
Here are a few tips for you to select your products or company.
1. Been in the market for at least 10 years. Better if it's 20 or 30 years. Any side effects would have surfaced by 10 years.
2. Listed on reputable Stock Exchange. Hang Seng, Nikkei or NYSE would be a great place to start with. No investors would dump their hard earn money into non reputable companies.
3. Products are sold in a lot of countries. Especially countries with strict labeling and health controls.
Never save a few bucks for your health sake.
