Due to the COVID-19 or coronavirus, BUKA project team has had to rearrange some of their activities for the coming months. We were originally going to have face to face workshops with all the partners in April but now, well, those are naturally out of the question. We will continue our collaboration online as much as we can, and do as much as can be done at this moment which is stressful to many. We hope you all stay safe and healthy. All our best to everyone!

BUKA project kickoff Feb 2020 in Penang, Malaysia. Organized by BUKA partner Wawasan Open University (WOU).

The aim of the project is to promote equity and access to higher education in Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines through the use of inclusive instructional design (ID) and learning analytics (LA) in online and blended learning, especially in the context of Open and Distance Learning (ODL).

The objectives are to build capacity in inclusive ID and LA, improve students’ learning engagement, active learning and study skills with the help of ID and LA based interventions, improve pedagogical and technical accessibility of digital learning materials, and use LA for more effective, personalised support for distance learners.In all three Partner countries, improving access to quality higher education is a priority.
