💔 A Message From Our Hearts ❤️‍🩹

To all our dear guests, friends, and everyone who has supported Labuan Rusukan Besar Resort over the years...

This is one of the hardest announcements we have ever had to make.

We are not making this decision because we want to. We are making it because we simply have no other choice.

Effective immediately, every trip to Labuan Rusukan Besar Resort will require a minimum of 4 guests to proceed.

If there are fewer than 4 guests, we can still arrange the trip, but only if the minimum operating cost is covered (the costs of 4 pax) This is to help us pay for the most basic necessities just to open our operations—the boat fuel, the generator, and the essential costs of running Rusukan Besar Island.

For years, we have absorbed rising costs because we wanted to keep our resort affordable, especially for Malaysians who choose to support local tourism.

Every time our operating costs increased, we tried our best not to pass the burden on to our guests.

But this latest government diesel policy has become another huge blow after the earlier fuel price increases.

We have reached a point where continuing to operate small trips at a loss is no longer possible.

Many people ask us why we are the only operator on Rusukan Besar.

The truth is, we never wanted to be the only one.

We are the only one because very few people are willing to take on the challenges and risks of operating here. Running an island resort is never easy, and today it has become even harder.

The impact of the fuel price changes has hit Labuan especially hard, and tourism businesses like ours are struggling just to survive.

This isn't about making more profit.

This is about trying to stay alive.

Every trip involves moving our boat, supplying the island, running the generator, paying our staff, and keeping everything ready to welcome our guests. These are costs that cannot be avoided, whether there are two guests or twenty.

We know this news will disappoint some of you, and for that, we are truly sorry.

If there had been another way, we would have taken it.

To everyone who has visited us, shared our posts, recommended us to friends, or simply believed in what we are trying to build—thank you. Your support has kept us going through every challenge.

We sincerely hope for your understanding as we make this difficult adjustment.

We are not giving up.

We are simply doing everything we can to keep Labuan Rusukan Besar Resort alive, so that future generations can continue to enjoy this beautiful island.
