Righto, the Rustybones_rtw crew has unpacked all the motorcyclist equipment & Travel bags & switched back into Penang living.

The best way to do that is to head to Hin Bus Depot (art & cultural centre of Penang) on a Sunday for an absolutely cracking meal at our friends rooftop restaurant Rasa Fuego.

is one of the best Chefs 👨‍🍳 in Penang and served up a delicious 😋 feed.

is a great location to relax, eat, listen to some music and also enjoy specialist coffee vibes ☕️.

Thanks to everyone who followed our recent journey throughout Vietnam 🇻🇳.

We have a few things planned for 2026/2027 so stay tuned.

The adventure has come to a conclusion for the Rustybones_rtw crew.

We have crammed as much as possible into our last days in Da Nang, Vietnam 🇻🇳.

This included a visit to the World famous Golden Bridge (Hands), cold beer 🍺 or three at East West Brewery, a visit to a famous French Patisserie and a final sunset view over Da Nang looking at the Dragon Bridge with our great friends & Nhu.

Now we are sitting at Da Nang International Airport 🛫 awaiting our flying chariot back our home in Penang.

We will need a holiday now just to recover from what has been an awesome adventure throughout Central Vietnam 🇻🇳.

Thanks to the beautiful, kind & friendly Vietnamese people for all the great memories.

So the Rustybones_rtw crew successfully survived the roads of Vietnam 🇻🇳 and finished back at Tigit Motorbikes in Da Nang.

Now it's time to catch up with and his beautiful partner Nhu - tick off some touristy stuff.

Yesterday & Nhu did the Coconut boats and then hit Hoi An streets, while took big Stormy to Riders Bar, Surf & Travel for a couple of beers 🍻 and the best toasties.

Back to Da Nang to watch the Dragon Bridge breath fire 🔥 from our hotel rooftop.

After two days of exploring and enjoying the culture wonderfulness of Hoi An the Rustybones_rtw crew are out of time.

Over the last two days we squeezed in a local food tour, lantern making & the river cruise at sunset 🌇.

Besides that we have just walked the streets and absorbed the beautiful people and their traditions, as well as meeting some awesome expats and fellow travellers.

The wanderlust continues today as we head back to Da Nang to conclude our motorcycling 🏍 trip.

Hoi An is were the Rustybones_rtw crew have been now for a couple of days.

We have walked the old town, enjoyed the colours & contrasts. Along the way we have managed to meet many very cool fellow travellers and those who have chosen to call Vietnam 🇻🇳 their home for now, so many true adventurous people.

Last night was a sunset tour.

Tonight we are doing a food tour - pics 📸 to follow tomorrow.

Yesterday half of the Rustybones crew went to a cooking class and coconut boat tour 😅. You can keep the coconut boats, I prefer two wheels...but the cooking class was the best.

I finally got to learn how to make one of my favourite dishes, Bánh Xèo. Along with a few other favs.

I ended up with a huge pair of cooking chopsticks. Lucky you can fit them on a bike!

The Motorcycle journey for the Rustybones_rtw crew is slowly coming to a crescendo as we left Kham Duc and headed back towards the coast of Vietnam 🇻🇳.

The destination Hoi An a location we visited 25 years ago.

The ride today was not a long one, but again Vietnam supplied us with both it's natural beauty & landscapes, along with some riding challenges through landslip areas and construction 🚧 roadworks. A challenge we happily took on.

Hoi An is still a colourful & magical place, however, it's blatantly obvious that the tourist dollar drive massive development, something that takes away the allure of a place.

We still have 6 days to explore this part of Vietnam 🇻🇳 before returning to our starting destination - Da Nang.

Rustybones_rtw crew spent a lazy day exploring the township of A Luoi 🇻🇳.

The area has some fantastic scenery, green rice fields and absolutely lovely friendly people.

We also found a Cafe that served up spicy pork sausage noodles 🍜😋 delicious.

Rustybones_rtw crew left Phong Nha to head down the Ho Chi Minh trail (Road) to Khe Sahn.

For any true motorcyclists in the World 🌎 if you haven't ridden the HCM Rd then you are seriously missing out, our photos don't do this location the justice it deserves. 

It is endless flowing corners with minimal traffic and vistas + hill climbs for nearly 200kms.

Once we arrived in Khe Sahn we did some local exploration which included the Khe Sahn Battlefield victory museum & Stupa Khe Sahn.

We also rode down to the milky green river below the tree tops of our glamping digs.

Overall some absolutely stupendous riding and adventure.

Commander Cave was Rustybones_rtw crews first destination of the day exploring the beautiful Phong Nha region.

The Commander Cave was a integeral part of the North reunification of the South during the Vietnam war.

The cave functioned as a Command & planning centre, hospital & ammunition storage over 7 levels.

Rustybones_rtw crew then went on a exploration of the area finding several suspension bridges to cross the river systems.

Lastly we found 'The Pub with Cold Beer' as opposed to the Pub with No Beer in Taylor's Arm (Northern NSW).

Cave exploring was on the agenda for the Rustybones_rtw crew.

We started the day walking through the monolithic Paradise Cave in the morning and finished the afternoon off with a boat trip in Phong Nha Cave - tourist activities completed 🤣.

After such a big day exploring the beautiful Vietnam 🇻🇳 we kicked back for some cold refreshments around the pool at our awesome digs Phong Nha Eco Lodge.

Tomorrow we are going for a motorcycle ride to explore the Commander Cave which was paramount in defeating the US during the Vietnam war.

The Rustybones_rtw crew has been off the grid for a couple of days, living the dream exploring what Vietnam 🇻🇳 has to offer.

We are a couple of days behind on our posts, so stay tuned for some epic photos 📸.

We left Vinh and headed in a Northerly direction to some spectacular tea fields.

We did a little bit of single lane and farm track riding before arriving at our rudimentary homestay where we meet several other adventurers riding throughout Vietnam.

We had finally reached what is the start of our Ho Chi Minh Road motorcycle 🏍 adventure.

As you can see in the photos Vietnam is not always hot 🤣.
