In celebration of 50 years of selfless service, PERMA invites you to the UPLIFT THE YOUTH Pickleball Fundraiser, an evening of friendly games, good music and community spirit.

The cause is close to our hearts: uplifting young people, especially those from underserved and underprivileged communities. PERMA makes a point of focusing on the issues that are often overlooked and under-invested, so they receive the care and funding they truly need.

⛳ Golf Success Story: Congratulations, Thivyan!

Not long ago, a golf course was the last place anyone would expect to find a boy from Sooria Hostel.
Through PERMA’s support for MyKITA, boys with an interest and potential in golf have been given access to lessons and training — opportunities that would otherwise been out of reach.
This past weekend, Thivyan competed in the Open Golf Tournament at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Kota Damansara, competing alongside players from diverse backgrounds.
He carded a fantastic 82 and proudly took home the Novelty Prize for Nearest to the Pin! 🏆👏
For a boy who started with borrowed clubs and plenty of determination, this is more than a prize. It’s a reminder of what can happen when opportunity meets potential.
PERMA’s support goes beyond shelter and stability — it creates opportunities, builds confidence, and opens doors to new possibilities.

Art Therapy for Praise Emmanuel Home

Mental health, especially for underserved communities, is often overlooked. That’s the gap PERMA has chosen to step into.
Thirteen boys from Praise Emmanuel Home in Section 6, Petaling Jaya took part in an art therapy session sponsored by PERMA and organised by Suara Minda. 🎨
With paint, brushes and clay pots, the boys were given a space to simply create, express themselves and enjoy something outside their daily routines. Pastor Isaac, who leads the home, shared that sometimes the greatest gift is simply being somewhere new. PERMA committee members Vick and Mangales also sponsored ice cream for the boys, adding a little extra joy to the afternoon. 🍦
This reflects what PERMA strives to do: support underserved communities with dignity, empathy and care — from providing opportunities like golf lessons, to supporting children's homes and mental health initiatives.
Praise Emmanuel Home has cared for abandoned, neglected and underprivileged children since 2004. One of its ongoing challenges is covering the rent needed to keep the home running.

Serankumar and Navanish Waran just brought home Runner-Up honours in Kabaddi at SUKMA XXII Selangor 2026, representing the state with everything they had.

What most people won't see in this photo is the road that got them here. Before the medals, before the training, before the state jersey, these were boys who needed somewhere safe to call home.

MyKITA gave them that home. PERMA recognised the dedication behind MyKITA and, for more than a decade, has been among those supporting its work, contributing towards the care and opportunities that helped two boys with potential become state-level athletes standing on a podium.

Mathan Raj Kartik's story isn't one that started with an easy hand. But through MyKITA, a home, a place of belonging, and a chance to simply be a boy with a ball and a dream, he found the stability and support to grow. What started as shelter became a foundation for so much more.
This September, he lined up for Mithraa FC in the 2026 MIFA Beyond National Tournament, representing Selangor B at Padang Polo, Pulau Penang. 🏆⚽
PERMA recognised MyKITA’s steadfast dedication and, for more than a decade, has supported its work, helping to give boys like Mathan Raj not just a roof over their heads, but a real chance at the life and future they deserve.
It's easy to look at the jersey and the tournament and think it was always going to happen. But somewhere between a home that welcomed him in and countless early mornings on the field, a lot of quiet, steady support made this possible.
Mathan Raj's story is one of many being written right now, by boys who didn't choose their circumstances, but are being given the chance to choose what comes next.
We're just happy to have seen him get his moment. 🔴🟡
