Fresh from announcing his new residency at Las Vegas' biggest breakout venue ZOUK along with Carl Cox & Jamie Jones and many more heavy hitters, he will also be hosting his own 16-week Ibiza residency at Club Chinois (formerly HEART). He has graced the decks in some of the world's most predominant nightlife hot-spots including Ibiza, Mykonos, New York, Tulum, St. Themba's unique sound is forged fr
om his African roots, incorporating local singers, songwriters & percussionists, creating his instantly identifiable take on electronic music. Following successful releases on a string of high-profile labels including Knee Deep In Sound, Saved, Yosh*toshi and subsequently on his own Herd label; his breakout release ‘Who Is Themba?’ remained in the Beatport charts for over a year. The success of his 2021 debut album "Modern Africa Part 1 - Ekhaya" on Armada Music, which featured a handpicked selection of South Africa's most talented vocalists, as well as remixers such as Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus, The Martinez Brothers, Dense & Pika, saw unmatched support across the board! The highly anticipated 'Modern Africa Part 2' will drop this summer. As Themba’s productions continue to break the mould, his rapid ascent has rendered him an in-demand remixer and lead to him adding his magic to artists including Paxx (Tulum), House Gospel Choir, Deepshakerz, Kevin Saunderson, Hosh & 1979. Fresh for 2022 are remixes for DJ Seinfeld on Ninja Tune and Kerri Chandler’s classic ‘Bar A Thym’. Career highlights have included playing at Paris Fashion Week, supporting Faithless on tour, and his nominations for ‘Best Newcomer’ and ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ at the Ibiza DJ Awards in his debut years. His music is consistently released to great critical acclaim, being lauded by the likes of Mixmag, DJ Mag Ibiza, DJ UK, Ushuaia Magazine, Faze and many more. 2021 also saw Themba host the famous BBC Radio 1 Essential mix, following a string of guest mixes on the station.
