2016!!!! The year off cutting off my hair for the first time!! The year of dying it silver!! The year of then buzzing it all off! The year of turning 18, trying to do ”poly”, absolutely hating it and getting my heartbroken 💔 the year of lots of modeling, glam, fashion, & vintage thrifting! The year of heavy makeup, dark lip, doc martens, american apparel and chokers! So much self discovery, whimsy, & fun! I miss it all the time 🥲

Wow, what a year y’all. Tbh I thought it would be cliche to add my own music for the recap, so I wanted to add one of my favs from this year off the new record lol.

First off, I got to release my DEBUT album for you all- 😍something I have dreamed of since being a kid. It’s even on VINYL wtf?! Seriously so cool. Second, I’ve had the most Spotify monthly listeners this year than I’ve ever had before as an artist which is really cool. Third, I got to play some incredible shows with so many talented artists including , , , , , to name a few. ✨

It obviously it all can’t be highs though. Yes, I released my debut record this year, which like I said has been a dream of mine my entire life. But just a month after its release when I was about to start on a deluxe, my Dad suddenly passed away. Even though we were estranged, it really emotionally affected me. So with that, I took a pause to writing new material so I could process things. And then a few months after that, I lost one of my friends to cancer (so the grief continues)… Loosing people left and right really made me question things more you know? Life- the meaning of it, just everything. Let’s just say the existential dread hit me hard this year. Anyone else?

A few unexpected things happened though to round out the year- I got a septoplasty this month to correct my deviated septum, but I also went viral on TikTok for something that happened 8 years ago lol. listened to my demos and since I finally “shared with the class” so to speak everyone wanted to know what was on that MP3. Over 500k views and counting- wild for someone that constantly finds themselves in the 200 view jail! Haha

But seriously, thank you to all who came out to any of my shows, whether that be in Dallas or Houston, and huge thank you to everyone that streamed/supported my album. All of my merch- Vinyl, CDs, and Cassettes, shirts etc are still available on my website if you haven’t snagged anything yet!!

I seriously look forward to growing with my audience and releasing more music next year. Please be patient for era 2 💙 -A

YOOOO so this is the first Spotify wrapped where I actually am excited to share my numbers lol shoutout to all 78.6k listeners ILY and thank you so much for your support this year 🥺💙 I’m so proud of my album that I worked the past 5 years on to create, and I’m looking forward to have the opportunity to continue expanding my artistic vision and sharing even more music next year. ✨ Numbers aren’t everything, however, it’s really encouraging seeing that people actually care about my work (other than me haha). Andrew was a beautiful soul, and I feel so lucky that our paths crossed. He was my friend, former roommate, and a co collaborator on some of my earliest demos back in 2018 with . That year, the three of us- me, Micah, and Andrew packed up and moved to Austin to chase our dreams. I wanted to be a pop star, and Andrew and Micah dove into creating trailer music for films.

We quickly learned how tough the music industry can be, but what I’ll always remember is the feeling of being in it together- three dreamers figuring out life in a new city, supporting each other through every high and low. Eventually, we all found our way back to our hometowns, but I’ll forever cherish that era of 2018–2019. I’m grateful I got to share that chapter of my life with him.

Andrew was diagnosed with Chemo Resistant Stage 4 Testicular Germ Cell Cancer last year and tragically lost his battle last night at just 31. My heart is broken, but I feel so blessed to have known him. Rest in peace, Andrew. 🕊️
