The longest pier in the world! It stretches 4 miles (6.5km) into the ocean to allow large ships to dock due to the extremely shallow continental shelf.

I met this sweet street dog at the ruins before she walked us back to Centro Izamal. I hope to work towards opening an adoption center to find these starving dogs loving homes.
