We recently hosted the Gozo Delegation of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem for one of their meetings, this time led by H.E. Ambassador Roberto Buontempo, Lieutenant of the Maltese Lieutenancy.
We are proud that our HQ can provide a welcoming home for such gatherings and contribute, in our own small way, to the life of our community. ⚜️💙

OASI Fun Run – Sunday 4.10.2026
We were there!
Scouts – Creating a Better World.

Well done to those leaders and Venture Scouts who helped out during this morning’s 12th edition of the OASI Cup Run & Fun Walk 2026.

Part of the Scouting ethos is to motivate its members to become active citizens, support others and to contribute towards the well-being of the community.

Volunteering in events such as this fun run will help our Scouts towards achieving such goals.

We wish them a long, happy and adventurous time ahead.

Cleanup in collaboration with the Rabat, Città Victoria Local Council and the support of the Local Government Division.

Leave the world a little better than you found it. – Lord Robert Baden-Powell.

On Saturday 26th September 2026, the Group organised a cleanup in collaboration with the local council of Rabat, Città Victoria. The area chosen was the parking lot near the Gozo General Hospital. The Mayor of Victoria, Brian Azzopardi was also present.

The Group Scout Leader Jesmond Scerri and those present congratulated the Mayor on the prestigious award - European Capital City of Culture 2031, conferred upon Victoria the previous week.

The Mayor Brian Azzopardi thanked all those present for their contribution during the application process and for the example they set and the actions carried out in favour of the environment.

Today, three of our Troop members presented the Victoria Scout Group’s Scouts and Guides for the Goals project, sharing the work carried out so far towards SDG 13 – Climate Action and SDG 15 – Life on Land.
So far, our activities have included:

💧 Creating seven clay wildlife water bowls as part of Nature Trust – FEE Malta’s Water for Wildlife initiative.

🧹 Carrying out an environmental clean-up at Dwejra during Summer Camp.

🌳 Beginning a roof garden at our Headquarters, including the planting of 10 indigenous trees from five native species.

A great opportunity for our Scouts not only to take practical environmental action, but also to share their work and experiences with others. 🌍⚜️

Congratulations!
A Magna Maxima – From Great, Supreme (Victoria’s motto)

The Victoria Scout Group congratulates our city, Rabat - Città Victoria, Gozo, which has just been announced as European Capital of Culture 2031!

Following the final selection meeting, held today in Valletta, Malta, Rabat - Città Victoria was granted this prestigious award.

This was the end result of a year full of initiatives, collaboration, research and preparations by different key players who worked hard and collaborated to present their projects, their ideas, their vision and their ambitions for this candidature. All these efforts will ensure that culture continues to play a long-term role in Victoria's and Gozo’s future.

The Victoria Scout Group also did its part. The Victoria Scout Group’s collaboration with the Victoria2031 Foundation on an arts and well-being project named "Żifna Għal Kull Staġun" started off with workshops and rehearsals during Scout meetings at headquarters and came to its conclusion during the Group’s Easter Camp 2026.

In the coming months, the Group will be engaged in another project - ‘The Sunrise and Sunset Project.’ More details about this will be revealed in due time.

Well-done indeed to all those who contributed towards this positive result and prestigious title.
