The Computer Orphanage

Gaming area finally done, pleased with the result.

Desk assembled, hooking everything back up and rearranging the layout in general. Still to install the lighting.

Project time. Decided I needed a better setup at home (cause I managed to fix a free 34 ultra wide monitor), so I designed a desk...

Behold the desk-o-shelve unit is born! Made from salvaged unwanted desk.

Some chopping and welding later and its done. Currently painting and staining. Scheme to match the driving sim.

End result hopefully by Christmas where I will setup and reorganise the game room.

Quick post, been a long time. Been Messing around some large format monitors, turning a couple into a digital aquarium.

Fired this old timer up, found a hdd from a dead 386 and bingo, windows 3.1...

Very yellowed unfortunately, but still working. Pentuim 1 mmx 166mhz. Cd drive is dead.

Ryzen build done into the infinity case. Cable management next, as its a hell of a mess with 4 drives.

Thermaltake case done and assembled. It ended with my son, I recased his pc into this one as he wanted rgb fans...

Got all the lightning working as only half was working, controller is a little erratically also, Maybe that's why it got discarded.

Todays lucky find............. dirty and missing some screws but still usuable.........

Started a build to house my recently acquired Ryzen 5 and b450 board.

Old thermal take case which suffered surface rust in many places. Cleaned and rust treated the case carcass, then some fresh black satin finish paint. Next time to polish the plastics.

More will follow as I progress, but its slow pace as I have less time now to cook up pc projects....

Motherboard testing day, hit some luck with a couple. Z97 board was declared dead, one cpu change later and it sprung back to life. Irony of this was I bought it for 10€ for the cpu!!

B450 was also declared dead or faulty (actually it refuses to output any video signal for the moment) as was the ryzen which came in another b450 board not working. Put a gpu in and it posts fine. So time to build a ryzen machine!!

The other 2 came in a box, lga775 and a lga1151, both working. Have others to test but that's it for today. Time to find a couple of cases to build up.

Icaros installed, running in a dell 760 with a gt210 and sound blaster live. Its been quite a while messing with an amiga OS, time to re-learn some stuff!
