KMSS-Kalay is seeking a qualified and committed candidate to fill the position of Head of Programs.

JOB OVERVIEW

Under the leadership of the Director and with guidance from the Executive Management Team, the Head of Programs plays a pivotal role in shaping KMSS-Kalay’s strategic direction and ensuring operational excellence. This position leads the organization’s efforts across five key thematic sectors: Health, Education, Livelihoods, Social Protection, and Humanitarian Response (HELP-H).

As the most senior figure next to the Director, the Head of Programs is responsible for driving fundraising initiatives and developing high-quality, technically sound project proposals for KMSS-Kalay and the broader KMSS network, in close collaboration with the Director. The role also involves overseeing and supporting all program staff, providing technical leadership and project management to ensure that programs are effective, efficient, and aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic plan.

In addition to programmatic leadership, the Head of Programs serves as an ex-officio member of the Executive Management Team and Co-Executive Leader, with oversight of KMSS-Kalay’s core support functions: Finance, Administration, Human Resources, and Procurement. This responsibility includes upholding the principles of accountability, transparency, and institutional credibility.

Furthermore, the Head of Programs is tasked with designing and facilitating staff capacity-building initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and organizational resilience.
