This is one of my favorite paintings at the Detroit Institute of Art, the detail on the Textiles is impeccable and you can absolutely see every embroidered stitch and the detail of the lace so clearly you could immediately identify it in person. Such richness!!

What does a textile girl do on her day off? Go to a museum to look at more textiles!!! (Obviously 🤣)
These are from an exhibit at the Chicago Art Institute on Moroccan.& Afghani embroidery. I don't think the exhibit is worth making a trip for, but if you happen to be there already, poke your head in :)

H+H After Dark was fun this year! I won some gorgeous threads from Valdani, and the volume was actually not totally deafening!! (Unlike last year!)
I had a brief moment of intense excitement when I thought I had won the Grand Prize, but it turned out it was my dyslexia. Sigh. Next year!! 🤞
