الأعمال الخيرية لا تشمل التبرعات النقدية وحسب، بل تمتد لتشمل العديد من الأعمال الأخرى، فصحيح أنّ نسبة كبيرة من الأشخاص تتلخص مشاكلهم بعدم امتلاكهم المال الكافي، إلا أنّ هناك نسبة أخرى لديهم مشاكل أكبر وأعمق من هذه المشكلة، بحيث يمكن مساعدتهم من خلال المهارات المكتسبة، ومن البيئة المحيطة، ودون الحاجة إلى دفع الأموال الطائلة، وفيما يلي بعض الأفكار لبعض الأعمال التي من الممكن أن يرفع بها الله الإنسان درجات في الدنيا والآخرة.
