Our Chief Financial Officer and one of the newest faces at Ideaport Riga.
Having lived and worked across several countries, Jeļena brings a truly global perspective and plenty of experience to the IPR team 🌍

We asked her a few quick questions about life at IPR 👇

How would you explain your job to someone who's never worked in finance?
"I'm part detective, part organizer, and part problem-solver. I track where the money comes from, where it goes, and make sure everything adds up in the end, so the team can focus on bigger goals." 🕵️‍♀️

What do you enjoy most about being part of the IPR team?
"The people, without a doubt. I get to work with talented, supportive, and creative colleagues who are always ready to share ideas and help each other out. It makes even the busiest days enjoyable and keeps things interesting." 🤝

If you could describe IPR in 3 words?
"Innovative. Collaborative. Inspiring." ✨
When she's not working with budgets and forecasts, you'll likely find Jeļena exploring galleries, museums, and theatres 🎨🎭

Meet our beach volleyball team 🏐
While all of Latvia has been cheering for our national hockey team during the World Championship, Team IPR has been bringing the same energy and team spirit to the sand courts.
What started as an initiative by our Business Development Professional Renate has now become a regular after-work tradition for colleagues who enjoy staying active, competing, and spending time together outside the office ☀️
And with our Active Spring Challenge happening right now, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate the people who keep this energy going week after week.
At Ideaport Riga, we’re always happy to support initiatives that bring the team together. From cheering for Team Latvia on the ice to cheering each other on after work - team spirit is part of our game 😄
We may not be heading to the Beach Volleyball World Championships just yet… but we’re definitely training like it.

🏃‍♂️ The Rimi Riga Marathon gave our Active Spring Challenge a whole new level of energy. Turns out we’re a pretty competitive running community too 😄
Over the past weeks, we’ve all been tracking steps, checking leader boards, and trying to bring a little more movement into our everyday routines. But marathon weekend made one thing especially obvious - some of our randomly assigned teams got very lucky 👀
While some teams ended up with actual marathon runners, others are still relying on teammates whose main cardio is walking to the coffee machine ☕😂
But jokes aside - huge hats off and respect to all our colleagues who took part in the Rimi Riga Marathon👏
From 6 km runs to full marathons, the dedication, discipline, and energy are seriously inspiring 💚
And honestly, that’s what makes the Active Spring Challenge so fun - seeing everyone motivate each other, move more, and fully embrace spring in active mode 🌱

Well-spent Friday lunch break exploring the upcoming Salesforce Summer ’26 Release, discussing impacts across projects, sharing ideas, and making very serious technical decisions… mostly about which pizza slice to take next 🍕☀️

🇱🇻 To honor the Restoration of Independence Day of Latvia, the Ideaport Riga team stepped away from our screens and into the heart of Latvian history. We spent the day exploring the breathtaking trails and historical landmarks of Sigulda. 🥾🌲

There is no better way to celebrate our history than by connecting with the nature and heritage that define it. A great day of hiking, team building, and reflection on how far we have come.✨

🚀From Salesforce Bootcamp to Developer at Ideaport Riga 🚀

Meet Antons, one of our Salesforce Bootcamp graduates who turned learning into a career - a great example of at Ideaport Riga🌱
Now, nearly three years later at Ideaport Riga, he’s looking back on that experience and what it meant for his journey.

👉 Before the bootcamp, you thought Salesforce would be:
More about configuring database and no-code business logic 🧩

Depending on the project, it could be closer to a regular custom website + database combination 🌐

💡 What was the moment you realized:
“Wait… I might actually work in this field”?
Closer to the end of the bootcamp, when I was not lagging behind others in completing my tasks 🚀

😄 Very serious question:
☕ Coffee or Trailhead? 🧭
Trailhead! I don’t drink coffee, and Trailhead is not only a great learning tool for all levels of Salesforce enthusiasts, but it also has forums that seem to always contain answers to the problems and bugs you may encounter along the way. My choice seems obvious.
Flows 😍 or Flows 😵‍💫?
Flows 😍 Sometimes they just lie in their documentation 😄

💻 What does your role look like today, and what do you enjoy most about it?
It is the same as I was dreaming all my life. I mostly just do my technical tasks, which range from something I have done lots and lots of times to something I have never heard of. Meetings are also present, but their amount doesn’t feel like a burden. I enjoy the feeling of finally solving some problem that I couldn’t solve for a long time and almost felt that it was impossible ✨

“I was studying for my bachelor's degree while also working at a creative studio and a summer camp.”

What surprised you about the bootcamp?

“I expected more abstract tasks, similar to those at university. But instead we worked on a simulation of developing a real project, which made the bootcamp much more exciting.”
