WORKSHOP - INDUSTRIAL IMPRINTS - AN INTRODUCTION TO PLASTER CASTING

A workshop row as part of the exhibition SENTIENT SOIL by Vera Kox.

Participants will create plaster casts using collected industrial materials, offering a playful introduction to working with plaster - a material frequently used to make moulds in art and craft.

FOUNDATIONS will be on display during the BERLIN DESIGN WEEK in the exhibition "Next-Young European Design" at the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Berlin.

Opening: 26.04 at 19:00 - free entry

Last week, I received a silver award for the "Relic of the Past" tableware in the category "product design" at the Luxembourg Design Awards. Thank you for selecting this project. The first prototype of this porcelain set was produced in collaboration with the research laboratory of the École Nationale Supérieure d'art de Limoges for the Craft_3.0 exhibition organized by De Mains De Maîtres Luxembourg as part of the Esch 2022 cultural year. Best wishes to all the other winners of this year's competition and thanks to Design Luxembourg for organizing this year's European Design Festival.

EUNIC Berlin and Kunstgewerbemuseum are teaming up with Berlin Design Week. The exhibition "Young Talents" at the Kulturforum will showcase the latest works of young designers from 8 different countries on social impact and sustainability. The exhibition is co-organised and supported by several European embassies and culturel institutions located in Berlin including the Luxembourg Embassy.

The "Relic of the past" porcelain set will be showcased next to some beautiful designs by Meyers & Fuegmann and Lucie Majerus.
