Knyga jau pradeda sukti antrą mėnesį, panašu, laikosi neblogai, gyvena žmonių namuose, o šie - vis atsiunčia man kokią žinutę ar net užsuka į kokį gyvą pasirodymą (beje, artimiausias - gruodžio 12, atvirų durų diena Kitų knygų leidykloje).

Ilgai svarsčiau, ar verta spausti viršelio iliustracijos printus, bet ir vėl - paskatino vieno žmogaus mintis sukomplektuoti Kalėdoms knygą su atspaudu.

Galbūt. Tai štai dabar ir turiu pluoštelį A4 formato printų, bet galimi ir A3, A4, visus su šiuo vaizdu veikia.

Turiu planą artimiausiu metu paleisti ešopą, bet… Šitą planą turiu jau labai seniai - tad jei toks komplektas domintų - geriau iškart brūkštelėk. Turiu po ranka A4, A3 formatu, bet, jeigu ką, gal dar spėtume ir papildomai atspausti.

Knygą go gero galima rasti jau visuose knygynuose, bet aš labiausiai rekomenduoju - ten galima pirkti ir gyvai, ir internetu. Pirkti galima ir pačioje leidykloje, jie įsikūrę Aguonų g.

Three years ago, on this day, our world changed. Ukraine was attacked and invaded by the biggest dictatorship in Europe. A bit earlier I started making digital art.

So it was inevitable - those two went together. Art has been a form of therapy. Or procrastination, when you’re so tense that you need something you may do automatically and without thinking.

Here’s the selection of things I made during 2022-23.

Yes, this is the last bigger work of this year. I did the digital illustration, I guess, in 2023 and now I turned it into painting. You can see all the versions - painted, digital and the print.

I wanted to try this random object composition for many years and even if it worked on iPad, I was not sure about the results on a big canvas. It turned out well and I already started another one. But that will come sometime next year.

One long work and it’s short story from 2024. Digital illustration and many hours wasted. Enjoy.

Welcome to the story of my art this year. Well, at least part of it - there’s some leftovers. For example, there’s one image that all platforms try to ban. Anyway, the picture is pretty clear. And no plans for the future, as usual.

This is a digital drawing and it’s fine print. I believe I titled it Game Over, but don’t remember why and what did it mean few years ago when I did the drawing. Anyway, I wish you a nice evening. Peace.

My phone is full of older works, here’s another one. It was inspired by a song of Dropkick Murphies, American band of Irish punk rock. I believe I did it last year. It’s a digital illustration, nicely printed.

I guess, the song is somehow related to the experience of death. At least that’s how I interpreted it. That’s why you have coffins, angels and a little crucifix.

There’s also few elements of love (roses), happiness (rainbow), life aspirations (arrows), challenges (burning house) or wisdom (anchor).

It’s not that I put a list of elements and painted them, things were pretty improvised. So you may get the general emotion or go into making a story out of those details. On the other hand, music by this band is full of similar metaphors, so it seemed pretty natural to go this way.

I’m thinking of making bigger acrylic painting out of it. May be I will do.

Here’s the older print, Still Hiding, is the title, I believe. I’ve been sick this week, staying at home, spinning reggae vinyls, drinking tea and ignoring the world outside. Some plans were cancelled or postponed. On the other hand, we all know that plans are meaningless. You just need to move one day at the time and it’s perfectly enough.

I’m still working on my future e-shop. I started almost a year ago, so it’s one of the longest projects of my life.

Although it is not as long as my first sci-fi novel which I started some 4 years ago and still have some 25 % to go. To tell the truth, I predicted the arrival of AI in that novel but it doesn’t matter any more as no one would believe I started it before all this chaos.

Anyway, it’s pretty tough for an artist to promote his or her work. To make art always seems more meaningful so the e-shop thing moves very slowly.

But one day it will be done. And I’ll be rich, famous and very happy. I promise.
