A few days ago, we gathered for our annual Summer Party, and this year our destination was the Lithuanian seaside in Klaipėda 🌊
 
Even though the good weather decided to take a day off between two beautiful beach days, our people still showed up with smiles, great energy, and made it a day to remember. Once again, we proved that it's not the weather that makes the party - it's the people who make these moments unforgettable.
 
With this year's theme, Mythos by the Sea, we discovered which Greek god matched our personalities, learned a few sirtaki moves, challenged ourselves to stand on real waves, and even built a giant kite together before watching it take flight above the seaside. 🪁
 
The energy peaked as we came together for an unforgettable drumming performance, before dancing the night away to a live band. 🥁
 
Here's to another unforgettable Summer Party. Already looking forward to the next one! 💙

Some of today's graduates may become tomorrow's colleagues.

It was a pleasure to celebrate this year's graduates and the students whose outstanding thesis work was recognized with scholarships from various IT companies.

We're especially proud to celebrate our own colleagues, Viktorija Varnaitė, Paulius Gilvydis, and Tomas Odinas, who once sat in those same seats as students and are now experts on our team. Seeing them continue to support KTU and help strengthen the connection between the university and industry makes this partnership even more meaningful.

Congratulations to all graduates, and best of luck on the journey ahead! 🎓

Have you ever been in a project where requirements kept changing?

Our colleague Technical Solution Architect Martynas Rimutis shares why understanding the client is just as important as technical expertise - and why changing requirements are not always a bad thing.

Because sometimes the most important part is not writing the code, but understanding what the client actually needs 👇

April at Helmes was active not only during work hours, but after them too 💪

For the whole month, we were in full Health Month mode:
👣 taking part in a step challenge
🚴 going on a bike ride together
⚽ competing in foosball tournaments
🏓 battling it out in the table tennis championship
🧘 joining Spine Exercise sessions
🩺 taking part in health checks
📸 sharing moments from our active free time in a photo challenge

We also got inspired by a colleague sharing his Ironman journey and the discipline, mindset, and consistency behind it 🚴🏊🏃

A few colleagues even joined the Kaunas Marathon - and experienced all four seasons during the run, from snow to sunshine!

Even our office snacks got a healthy upgrade - nuts replaced the usual candy, and instead of our traditional “Bun Wednesday,” we enjoyed fruits and healthy breakfasts.

And to wrap up an active month, we gathered for our Q1 review - followed by salads enjoyed together 🥗

It’s always great to see how much energy, movement, and team spirit can fit into one month.

Every internship journey is different - and sometimes the biggest growth comes from learning to be okay with uncertainty.

Kateryna Savosto joined Helmes as a Sales Intern, and today she continues her journey with us as a Sales & Marketing Associate 🤩

For her, the internship was not only about gaining experience, but also about learning to let go of perfectionism, become more flexible, and grow through situations that didn’t always feel fully clear from the start.
Here’s her story 👇

“My internship at Helmes was a really valuable experience for me, and one of the main reasons for that was the environment I was in and the people around me, especially my team, whom I’m very grateful for. I felt genuinely supported and trusted enough to learn, explore, and grow in my own way.

At the same time, it wasn’t always easy. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist, so one of the hardest parts for me was accepting that not everything has to be done perfectly. There were also days when I couldn’t fully anticipate what I would be working on, and as someone who likes to plan ahead, I had to learn to make peace with that uncertainty.

Over time, that taught me a lot. I learned to be more flexible, to focus more on progress than perfection, and to feel more confident even when not everything was fully clear from the start. I also learned that growth often comes from figuring things out along the way, not from feeling fully ready beforehand.

If I had one piece of advice for someone considering an internship at Helmes, it would be: don’t wait until everything feels clear or perfect. You’ll learn much more by stepping into the unknown and figuring things out as you go.”
