We’ve been playing around with something interesting at the office lately. Lumion vs AI rendering (Chatgpt to be exact).

Same house, Same design, Same View.
Just two very different ways of bringing the idea to life. Interesting right?

Lumion:
We control the materials, lighting, vegetation, people, atmosphere and every little detail. You build the world yourself. 🌳🏡. Assume how the landscape would be.

AI:
We give it the design and say, “Okay… now show me what this could look like.” 😂 not good with prompts but will get there. And sometimes it comes back looking like it has a Hollywood production budget joh, “bona sa u lahla!!!”

The interesting part isn’t really “which one is better?”It’s how we can use both to push our designs further.

At Spoonfeed, we’re experimenting with the look, feel, atmosphere and storytelling of our Architecture, not just making pretty pictures, but trying to make clients feel the space before we build it. And honestly some of these AI renders are starting to make us question whether Lumion should be worried. 👀😂

Technology is changing the way architects communicate ideas but one thing hasn’t changed:
The design still has to make sense, realistic, buildable, and we still want affordability to be our game.

AI can make a building look beautiful.
It still takes an architect to make it work. 🏗️✏️
