Simple rule, big difference!
Big words are just small parts joined together! π Every syllable has a vowel sound, and when we clap the beats, reading becomes so much easier.
Today we practiced words like happy, market, banana, and even discovery. Try clapping out your own favorite word and tell me how many syllables it has!
Today weβre learning the two sounds of the letter G!
β¨ Hard G: /g/ as in goat, game
β¨ Soft G: /j/ as in giraffe, giant, gentle
Practice with me and discover how one letter can make two different sounds! ππ
Remember, Most of the time G is soft before e, i, and y⦠but not always! Some words are a little tricky.
