මෙහිදි ,යටත් විජිත සමයේ අදහස්වලින් මිදීම (decolonizing) ගැන, එනම් අපේ අනන්‍යතාවය සහ අප අවට අවකාශයන් (ස්ථාන) දෙස අලුතින් බලන හැටි ගැනයි. මෙය හැමෝටම ගැඹුරින් සිතන්නට පෙළඹවීමක් වූ අතර, අතීතයේ (විශේෂයෙන්ම යටත් විජිත කාලයේ) දේවල් අදටත් අපේ ජීවිතවලට, අනන්‍යතාවයට සහ රටට බලපාන ආකාරය. අපේම කතන්දර නැවත අපේ කරගැනීමටත්, අද ශ්‍රී ලංකාව තුළ "අපේකම" (belonging) යනු සැබවින්ම කුමක්දැයි නැවත සිතා බැලීමටත් අවකාශයන් නිර්මාණය විය,
