🛑Quantitative data are data about numeric variables.

This resonated so much with me, as it’s exactly what happened to my son in primary school.

He had a year 2 teacher who tore up his work and would belittle him in front of the whole class. He told us some things which we’re verified by his friends, but as soon as we met this lady we understood.

She was shouting at us at a meeting, asked us “what exactly is wrong with him?!!!”. I was just thinking, if she speaks to adults like this how does she speak to children!

We now know he has ADHD, so concentrating, sitting still, taking turns, using appropriate social behaviour and maturity we’re all things which we’re not his strong suites.

This lady put him in that box, and he didn’t come out until he left school and started working, where he now thrives.

After year 2 he didn’t put pen to paper again….. ever! He didn’t engage in any class, answer any questions or have respect for teachers unless they showed him kindness and respect. He didn’t graduate as a result and his self esteem was rock bottom. No child deserves to be made to feel like that or have their opportunities taken away.

Many teachers do not realize the power they hold in building children up, and equally tearing them down!

Our mission is to erase the world of teachers like this through education and professional development. No child deserves to be put in a box.
