Fueled by a mutual interest in 70’s, 80’s and 90’s Music the band kept playing for events. Our main focus is to ensure that everybody has a good time.
“The band started unofficially in 2014 December without a name when singer/Guitarist Rajind Siva put together a make shift band comprising Arosh De Alwis(Bass), Shehan Fernando(Drums), Gaja Ramanthan (Guitar)and Gershom anton(Lead) to be featured in an quarterly event ‘High Octane‘ organized by the Young Adult Fellowship of the Kollupitiya Methodist Church. In 2015 December for a Christmas event titled “Retromas” a charity event to raise funds for the Pakistan refugees in SL, Retrobass made its official debut in the local music scene. With some additions to the band members the present setup just clicked, and we knew the time was just right to bring back the classic sound. We supply music for all types of occasions, from weddings to corporate functions, to concerts, shows & events . we cover all types of music from Retro, Country, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Reggae etc.
