Darussalam College – Masjid Committee Visit and Primary Educational Support Update.

A team from Maligawatte Jumma Masjid comprising Dr. Razeen Anver, Al Haj A.H.M. Iqbal, and Mr. Razmi Rafeek met with the Principal of Darussalam College, accompanied by the SDS Secretary, Mr. Akram. The meeting took place in the Principal’s office.

The team met the Voluntary Teacher recently recruited through the Masjid’s initiative.
They also visited the Kids play area, where development work is being undertaken by Basheer Haji.The Masjid committee remains committed to monitoring the progress of both academic and infrastructure improvements, and will continue to provide updates.

During the discussion, the Principal outlined several urgent needs of the school. Following the meeting, the Masjid team conducted a physical inspection of the primary section classrooms and toilets, confirming the necessity for immediate attention and repair. The Principal thanked the entire masjid committee for the interest shown to uplift the standard of the college.

இன்று (மார்ச் 31, 2025) மாளிகாவத்தை ஜும்மா மஸ்ஜித் ஈத்-அல்-பித்ர் தொழுகையில் அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான வழிபாட்டாளர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். எதிர்பாராத கூட்டத்தினால் பள்ளிவாசல் நிரம்பி வழிந்தது, வழிபாட்டாளர்கள் பள்ளிக்கு வெளியே பாய்கள் மீதும் சாலையிலும் கூட தொழுதார்கள்.
அல்லாஹ் நமது பிரார்த்தனைகளையும், நோன்புகளையும், நற்செயல்களையும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்வானாக. ஆமீன்.

The Eid-al-Fitr prayer at Maligawatte Jumma Masjid this morning (March 31, 2025) was a truly blessed gathering. With a record number of worshippers attending, the masjid’s space overflowed, leading organizers to extend prayer arrangements onto mats outside and even onto the road.
May Allah accept our prayers, fasting, and good deeds. Wishing everyone peace, happiness, and countless blessings! 🕌🤲💛

Eid Festival Programmes – A Blessed Gathering

The 27th of Ramadan was celebrated beautifully at our masjid with twinkling lights and a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. The road to the masjid was cleaned, and food packs were provided for the ladies , while Gents were provided with a special dinner after Qiyamul Lail prayers. This event highlighted the spirit of togetherness, worship, and gratitude that Ramadan brings.
