Let the oars do the talking!... The University of Colombo was the first institution of higher education to take up the sport of Rowing in 1955.
The university has been an institutional member of the Colombo Rowing Club and a founder member of the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka. The University has both a men’s crew as well as a women’s crew and throughout its illustrious history has produced a number of high profile oarsmen and oarswomen who have represented the country at the highest levels. Congratulations to the University of Colombo Men's Crew on being the champions of the Men's Coxed Four race at the Head of the Beira '24 Regatta, rowing a 2 mile race with a timing of 13 minutes 28 seconds.
