Uber Hyderabad Office Visit | Uber Immersion Programme
Our visit to the Uber India Office, Hyderabad, provided valuable exposure to Uber’s operational and technology-driven approach to building and scaling global platforms. The PayMedia and DirectPay teams gained practical insights through detailed discussions and real-world use cases shared during the session.
The discussions covered key areas including business scaling strategies, Uber’s GenAI initiatives, product development processes, talent management and recruitment practices, and an overview of the Uber technology stack, demonstrated through real-world examples.
Special thanks to the Uber team for hosting us and for sharing their expertise, including Gokul Kumar Gopal (Engineering Leader), Siddharth Jain (Engineering Manager), Divya Anand (Group Product Manager), Sameera Poduri (Director of Engineering, AI), Hari Srinivasan (Director of Engineering), Aravind Bhashyam (Engineering Manager II), and Megha Yethadka (Global Head, Uber AI Solutions). Their insights and experiences added significant value to the session.
This experience contributed meaningful learnings that will support ongoing product and organizational growth at PayMedia and DirectPay.

Day Three consisted of a focused one-to-one mentoring session that offered meaningful insights into effectively entering and adapting to the Indian market. The discussion helped us understand key market behaviours, customer expectations, and strategic approaches essential for market expansion.

Day Two – Uber er Immersion Programme | T-Hub
Our second day involved deeper industry engagement and structured learning. We participated in a series of mentorship sessions that provided strategic insights and practical guidance from leaders in the ecosystem. The programme also included a focused session on how AI is being applied and operationalised within the Indian innovation landscape, offering essential perspective on emerging capabilities and adoption across industries.
We also had the opportunity to tour T-Works, gaining firsthand exposure to India’s advanced innovation and manufacturing environment. This visit strengthened our understanding of the technologies, processes, and operational frameworks driving product development at scale.
We extend our thanks to Uber, T-Hub, and the mentors who contributed to these sessions — Suresh Kumarasubramaniam (Head of Technology, MATH), Srinidhi Reddy Kongari (Assistant Manager – Strategic Partnerships & AI Consult, MATH & T-Hub), Sarvesh Singh (Startup Mentor, T-Hub), and Anantha Krishnan R K (Principal Consultant, Emerging Technologies Wing, Govt. of Telangana) — for their expertise and guidance.

We are pleased to have participated in the Uber Immersion Programme at T-Hub , an engagement that delivered substantial strategic value to both the PayMedia and DirectPay teams. The programme provided a comprehensive overview of India’s rapidly developing innovation landscape, with focused insights into go-to-market ex*****on, partnership structures, regulatory alignment, and scalable growth models that will directly support the continued advancement of our solutions.
We acknowledge the high calibre of mentorship and industry expertise shared throughout the programme. The opportunity to engage with fellow Sri Lankan founders driving significant regional and global impact further strengthened the collaborative value of this initiative.
We extend our appreciation to Uber, including Mohamed Ithisham, the Ministry of Digital Economy – Sri Lanka, Hon. Minister Eranga Weeraratne and the wider team for enabling this impactful exchange.
