Habbakuk learned an important lesson. Prayer won’t always instantly change your circumstances, but it can change your mindset and perspective.
Even though at times Habbakuk’s prayers were filled with more questions than answers, they brought invaluable wisdom.
He learned his strength wasn’t in the fig tree that held so much of his attention.
His provision wasn’t found in the fields ripe for harvest.
His comfort wasn’t found in what the olive tree provided.
And his joy wasn’t in his possessions, flocks, and herds.
Habbakuk learned that it often takes going through a season of lack to learn how to truly live full.
What he needed most wasn’t found in what he owned or possessed, or in what he found, just when his circumstances were good. What he needed most was found in the One who owned it all and is always good.
Sometimes what we need most is not found in what we feel we need but in who we need.
In the One who knows our needs long before we ask.
(Habakkuk 3:14-18)
See you in the field,
Susan

In a noisy world, choose thoughts that reflect God’s truth and goodness. Philippians 4:8 calls us to focus on what is lovely and admirable. There’s peace in that. 🕊️

Take heart. Don’t quit. Stay with God. 🙏🏻

Bitterness feels justified, but it slowly poisons the one holding it.
Revenge feels powerful, but it pulls you further from the heart of God.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t lead you there.
He will confront what’s inside you, not to shame you—but to free you.
He will call you to forgive, not because they deserve it, but because your soul does.
Because healing can’t grow where bitterness is being fed.
Forgiveness isn’t pretending it didn’t hurt.
It’s choosing to release what’s trying to harden your heart.
You can keep rehearsing the offense…
or you can start surrendering it.
One keeps you stuck.
The other sets you free. 🤍🙏🏻

He stayed on the cross so you could walk in freedom.
He could’ve called down angels.
He could’ve walked away.
But He didn’t.
He endured the cross, not because He had to, but because He chose to.
For you.
For me.
So we could live free, redeemed, and fully His.
Sin lost its power the moment Jesus said, “It is finished.”
John 19:30 KJV
