Mother, Wife, Community Activist, Entrepreneur, Saint Lucian. I believe that a society of empowered individuals is the key to a safe and prosperous Country.

I was raised in the community of Tou Rouge, Castries and I currently reside and established my business in Gros-Islet. At an early age I learnt the importance of being passionate about what you do in life and that once you are focused and disciplined, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. I have made it my mission to help empower our community, so that we can all have a better quality of life.

🌿 SUNDAY REFLECTION: β€œHe that is slow to wrath is of great understanding.” β€” Proverbs 14:29 🌿

This week, we witnessed heartbreaking road accidents, and over the weekend, more lives were lost to violence. Behind every tragedy is a family left grieving and a community left hurting.

Sometimes, we need to simply slow down and be patient.
Patience on our roads can save lives. One moment of speeding, impatience or poor judgment can change many lives forever.

Patience is also needed in how we treat one another. When anger rises, pause. When words become heated, pause. When you feel provoked, remember that you don't have to respond in anger.

Being patient is not weakness. Sometimes our greatest strength is choosing peace when anger tells us to react.

πŸ™πŸ½ May God comfort those who are grieving, heal those who are injured, and help us all to slow down, think before we act, and value the precious gift of life.

Sometimes, slowing down is not losing time , it is protecting life. 🌿

Have a blessed and peaceful Sunday. πŸ™πŸ½

UPDATE β€” TRAGIC ACCIDENT IN CAS EN BAS

Following my earlier post, I have received further information regarding the horrific accident in Cas En Bas, Gros Islet.

Three children were transported to hospital following the accident, along with the adult driver of the vehicle.

One child reportedly collapsed at the scene as a result of the trauma experienced from this horrific incident.

Most heartbreaking is the report that one of the children, a 13-year-old, has suffered devastating injuries and may lose his leg.

The driver, who is alleged to have been driving under the influence of alcohol, reportedly sustained only minor abrasions.

The contrast is heartbreaking: a child is facing the possibility of losing a limb, while the person alleged to have caused this devastation escaped with minor injuries.

If it is established that alcohol-impaired driving caused this crash, there must be accountability. Driving under the influence is not a harmless mistake when lives are placed at risk. It can change a family’s life in a matter of seconds.

We cannot continue to treat drunk driving as something ordinary or acceptable. There must be consequences when reckless behaviour causes serious harm to innocent people.

My heart goes out to these children and their families. I pray for their healing, strength and recovery, and for comfort and courage for their loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. πŸ™πŸ½

ALLEGED DRUNK DRIVER INJURES CHILDREN IN CASENBAS

My heart goes out to the children who were critically injured in this tragic accident in Casenbas, Gros Islet, and to their families during this extremely difficult time.

Lord, place Your healing hands upon these children and give their families strength in this difficult hour. πŸ™πŸ½

Reports indicate that the driver of the black vehicle was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and collided with a parked vehicle, resulting in serious injuries to the children.

The circumstances of the accident should be properly investigated, and accountability must follow where the evidence establishes wrongdoing.

Drunk driving is not a harmless mistake. It can change and even take lives in a matter of seconds. We must continue to strengthen enforcement, promote responsible driving and ensure that there are meaningful consequences for those who choose to drive under the influence.

Our roads should be safe for everyone, especially our children.

🚨 THIS SHOULD CONCERN ALL OF US

A video circulating of a man expressing anger over being deported to Saint Lucia and speaking about going on a killing spree is deeply disturbing.

Threats of violence should never be dismissed or treated as entertainment. They must be taken seriously and properly investigated by the relevant authorities.

For clarity, the individual is reportedly a Saint Lucian national who was deported from the United States in 2023, and is not one of the third-country nationals recently brought to Saint Lucia.

Whatever the circumstances, our people's safety must come first. Let us avoid speculation, allow the authorities to do their work, and take credible threats seriously.

πŸ‡±πŸ‡¨ Saint Lucia deserves to be safe.

🌿 SUNDAY REFLECTION 🌿
πŸ•―οΈ BE A LIGHT IN SOMEONE’S DARKNESS

β€œLet your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
β€” Matthew 5:16

We live in a world where many people are carrying burdens we know nothing about. Behind a smile may be pain. Behind silence may be fear. Behind someone’s strength may be a private struggle.
That is why our light matters.

Sometimes being a light does not require grand gestures. It can be a kind word, a listening ear, a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or simply showing compassion when someone needs it most.

We should never underestimate the impact of our actions. You may be the encouragement someone needed to keep going. You may be the kindness that restores someone’s hope. You may be the reminder that God has not forgotten them.

Let us also remember that being a light means choosing our words and actions carefully. In a world filled with anger, division and negativity, let us be people who bring peace rather than conflict, hope rather than despair, and compassion rather than judgment.

And especially as women, mothers, mentors and members of our communities, let us be examples to those coming behind us. Let our lives teach values that words alone cannot teach.

Be the light. Not because the world is always bright, but because someone may be walking through darkness and need to see the way forward.

May God use each of us this week to brighten someone's life, strengthen someone's heart and restore someone's hope.

Have a blessed and peaceful Sunday. πŸ™πŸ½πŸŒΏ

πŸ•ŠοΈ GONE TOO SOON, NEVER FORGOTTEN πŸ•ŠοΈ

My deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Merissa Auguste.

The senseless loss of a young life is heartbreaking. No family should ever have to endure the pain of losing a loved one in such a tragic and violent way.
We pray that the circumstances surrounding Merissa’s death will be fully investigated, that the truth will come to light, and that justice will be served. Her family deserves answers, and Merissa deserves justice.

May God grant her family strength, comfort and peace during this incredibly difficult time. May the memory of Merissa forever remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

Rest in peace, Merissa. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€

Your life mattered.
Your memory will live on.

🌿 SUNDAY REFLECTION :Teach What Is Good🌿

Titus 2:3 β€”β€œOlder women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much w**e. They are to teach what is good.”

As women, we have a responsibility to be examples to the young girls growing up around us. They are watching us even when we don't realize it.

Let us teach them not only with our words, but through the lives we live. Let us model good character, kindness, integrity, self-respect, courage and faith.

Be the woman who encourages another woman. Be the mentor who takes time to listen. Be the teacher who corrects with love and guides with wisdom. Sometimes, the greatest lesson we can give a young girl is simply to show her what a woman of character looks like.

We don't have to be perfect to be an example. We just have to be intentional about the example we set.

🌿 May we raise, guide and inspire a generation of young women who know their worth, walk with confidence, and understand the importance of character and integrity.

πŸ™πŸ½ Happy Sunday.
