Story
The Lebanese region is famous for its well-known usage of woods since Antic times. Not to forget that the Phoenicians used wood as a foundation element for their houses and ships.
The Lebanese used this natural resource abundantly and manufactured all their furniture with it. Sadly, with the inclusion of machines, the art of engraving and sculpting wood has gradually gone. Wood crafting involves highly skillful hands; it remains a living presented form of art, creating home furniture, as well as a little conventional wooden games such as backgammon, in addition to decorative items.
The main reason behind establishing Craftmatichs is to encourage this kind of heritage and to advocate the usage of handmade wooden crafts.
